Guardians of the Galaxy Chapter 2 contains 3 Collectible Locations. This walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in Chapter 2 in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies and 100% completion is included: Outfits, Guardian Collectibles, Compendium Items, Archives.
All of the Collectibles are missable, the reason being that your progress reverts in Chapter Select to the progress you had when you played the Chapter for the first time (except Outfits which do stay). Finding missing items in Chapter Select doesn’t add them to your save later in the game. In other words, whatever you find through Chapter Select doesn’t get saved and doesn’t count towards trophies & achievements. Because of this it’s recommended to save in a different Manual Slot at the start of every Chapter. If you miss something you can reload the save to replay the Chapter right away. Make sure you save in a different slot each time, because the autosave automatically keeps overwriting the active Save Slot.
Chapter 2 – Busted
Note: One purple Costume Chest is unreachable in your Chapter 2 visit to this area (flooded area downstairs when Nikki lets you pick between Good/Bad News, can see chest through the pipes), this one can only be collected later in Chapter 7 when you backtrack here.
Outfit – Starlord: Nova Lord
As you follow Nikki, you’ll be able to choose several conversation lines. For one of them, you can choose either “Encourage her” or “Take Control”. When you do, instead of following Nikki, look to your left to find an opening in between some yellow pipes you can crouch under. Go to the end of this new area to find this Costume collectible in a purple container.
Guardian Collectible: Broken Translation Device
After reaching Nikki’s secret hideout, this can be found behind some crates near the pink monitors, on the ground.
Galactic Compendium Item: Nikki’s Personal Device
During the elevator ride with Ko-Rel and Nikki, always side with Nikki. Do not back up Ko-Rel! This will make Nikki trust you and she’ll give you her Personal Device to access doors around this level. Pick the following dialogues: Re-Activate Elevator > Try to Help Nikki > Take the Blame.
IMPORTANT: You need this item later in Chapter 7 to access some Collectibles! If you don’t get Nikki’s Personal Device, you’ll miss out on those collectibles later.

Hey I’m playing new game plus after going through the chapters and getting the collectibles I missed but there not showing up in their places there supposed to be….their showing up on the ship but in the items list it’s still saying I haven’t got it (trying to get the trophy)

Yes, you have to have the conversation about the items with the guardian and afterwards the show up in the list. You should have access to that the next time you are able to roam the ship after the chapters you collected them.
