Introduction

Welcome to the Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Trophy Guide! A spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk sees you skating, tagging and fighting in style. The game features 6 chapters across 7 stages, where you will primarily be grinding rails and tagging graffiti spots to get score combos and increase your reputation (REP). In order to get Platinum, you will need to complete the story, get a high score combo in each stage, tag all the graffiti spots in each stage, find all Polo mascots, and complete a few miscellaneous tasks.

It is best to focus on the story before doing anything else so that you can have access to every area. Once you complete the story, you will be able to find map pickups in each area that will show you where the graffiti spots are located, making these much easier to find and tag. There are 21 characters in the game, and while you don’t need to unlock them all, you will need to unlock 10 of them for one trophy. You will get most of these naturally while going for other trophies, but you will need to actively unlock at least one extra character.

Step 1: Complete the Story

Play through the 6 chapters of the story, which will introduce you to the various stages and get you access to most of the areas within these stages. Don’t bother working towards any of the other trophies during this, as they will be easier to do after you’ve completed the game. Each chapter will follow the same pattern: tagging graffiti spots to increase your REP for that stage, using that REP to open up new areas within that stage, then ultimately having a challenge against the gang residing in that area where you simply need to score more points within 2 minutes.

Step 2: Hit all graffiti spots and find all Polo mascots in each stage

After defeating the final boss and completing the story, you will be able to free-roam the map and complete everything else. The main reason you want to finish the story before you start this step is because once your gang takes over a stage, a map pickup will appear which when picked up will show the majority of graffiti spots on the map, making it far easier for you to tag them all. Whilst the majority of graffiti spots will show up this way, some will only spawn after challenging optional side characters that can be found in the respective stages.

Throughout 5 of the 7 stages you will also find 17 Polo mascots, which are blue penguin statues. You will need to photograph all of these with your phone, which can be done while exploring the stages for all graffiti spots.

» Bomb Rush Cyberfunk All Polo Mascot Locations

Step 3: Beat the score combo in each stage

Each stage will have a score combo that you need to beat in one go for a respective trophy. These score combos range from 1,200,000 to 16,000,000. Fortunately there is no time requirement for these combos, so as long as you don’t drop the combo you can take as long as you like to reach the required scores. Combos work based on a base score and a multiplier, where the base score is increased from any regular trick, and the multiplier is increased by 1x for every unique grind corner, wallride and quarter pipe you hit during that combo. In order to get these combos in a reasonable amount of time you will need to combo through a large portion of these stages to get a high multiplier, then finding somewhere safe you can grind constantly to get your base score high enough to reach the threshold.

Step 4: Clean-up

There are a few miscellaneous trophies to get, some of which you may have gotten naturally, others you will likely need to actively go for. If you haven’t unlocked 10 characters yet, you will need to unlock them in order to get State of the Art :silver: .

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Bomb Rush Platinum
Unlocked all trophies!
Platinum

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Baller
Score on the court in Versum Hill.
Gold
This is probably the most frustrating trophy in the game, as it can be quite inconsistent even with proper setup. In order to do this trophy, you will need to go the basketball court where you meet Flesh Prince in Versum Hill. You will need to kick one of the basketballs into either of the hoops, which sounds simple but is far from it. Kicking basketballs can be very inconsistent and can get frustrating if you try to brute force it.

The best way to go about this is to push a basketball by walking into it, and position it on the second line on either side of either hoop. You will want to kick it with Trick 3 ( :circle: with default controls) which will have your character do a low sweeping kick. It may take a few attempts to learn positioning, but you should be able to kick the ball pretty straight if you hit it with your heel. Unfortunately actually getting it into the hoop can be inconsistent, even if you’re hitting it straight at it, so you will likely need to keep resetting the ball. The ball can continue to roll a fair bit even when you try to stop it, so you can usually try kick it from near the second line, it doesn’t need to be on it exactly. Keep trying and avoid getting frustrated or kicking the ball recklessly, as hitting it without setting up makes scoring it a lot harder.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide In The Flow
Keep your combo going for 4 minutes.
Bronze
You will maintain your combo either by manualing when on flat ground, wallriding on billboards, hitting quarter pipes or by grinding rails. You will need to maintain long combos for the combo score trophies, so this will come naturally while doing those. If you want to get this out of the way, simply find a closed-circuit rail that allows you to grind in a loop and wait until it pops.
BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Iron Legs
Fall and land on your feet from 8 floors high.
Bronze
There are several spots in the game where you will be able to fall from this height. There is a billboard tower in Millennium Square, an art gallery tower in Brink Terminal, the pyramid at the top of Pyramid Island, as well as many high spots through Mataan. All of these will have graffiti spots on them so will you need to climb to all of these locations while going for all graffiti. Once at one of these locations, simply jump off and land on the ground below. You can use your wheels or simply land on your feet, either should count for the trophy.
BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Nice!
Do a 69 second manual.
Bronze
Manuals are one of the basic moves used to preserve combos that you will quickly master. In order to do a manual, you will need to hold :r2: while on the ground using either a skateboard or bike. Using the inline skates will result in a different trick which doesn’t count for this trophy. With either a skateboard or bike equipped, head to Varsum Hill and go to the top of the hill right where you enter the area from the Hideout.

What you will want to do is manual around in a circle right where the flat road starts the decline, as when you are going downhill the manual bar will reset. By going around in a circle, the manual bar will constantly reset, allowing you to hold the manual for 69 seconds. Cars will be constantly driving around on the road so you will want to control your manual to avoid hitting these, as the loss of momentum from hitting one will likely end your manual. As soon as you hit 69 seconds the trophy will pop, you do not need to complete it for it to register.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Now Go Outside!
Defeat the final boss.
Gold
Story-related. Cannot be missed.

You will face the final boss at the end of the Mataan stage in Chapter 6. After defeating the boss you will be able to free-roam the whole game.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Flying Rats Begone!
Chase away all the pigeons from the High Square in Brink Terminal.
Bronze
The High Square is the area above the bus terminal, where you can access the large art gallery tower. There will be a large amount of pigeons that spawn here, most on the flat ground with 2 appearing up on the stairs on the right. The main thing to know about this is that the moment you look away from the pigeons by turning your camera, they will respawn. So you will want to start from either end of pigeons and walk into every pigeon spawn without turning your camera. This will be easier by starting from the top of the stairs so you can see where you’re navigating, but you can do it walking backwards if you prefer.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide State of the Art
Cover an entire stage with unique graffiti pieces.
Silver
The stage that you will want to do this on is the Hideout, as it has far fewer graffiti spots than the other stages. In total there are:

  • 10 Small Graffiti Spots
  • 3 Medium Graffiti Spots
  • 8 Large Graffiti Spots
  • 3 Extra Large Graffiti Spots

You will unlock enough medium, large and and extra large graffiti pieces just by picking up those you see as you play normally, but in order to get 10 unique Small Graffiti pieces, you will need to unlock 10 different characters, as Small Graffiti will always be unique to the character you are playing as. There are 20 characters total, 6 of which you will get from completing the story, and 3 more you will get by tagging all graffiti in every stage for their respective trophies. Therefore you will only need to actively unlock one character, but you are free to unlock whoever you like. Once you have enough characters unlocked, tag a Small Graffiti Spot with them and then travel to another stage to change character and repeat. The fastest way to do this is to use the taxi fast-travel between Hideout and Millennium Square, which can be unlocked by talking to the taxi driver in Millennium Square itself.

Below are all characters and their requirements for unlocking them.

Story-related Characters:

  1. Red – unlocked by default
  2. Tryce – unlocked by default
  3. Bel – unlocked by default
  4. Vinyl – unlocked during story
  5. Solace – unlocked during story
  6. Felix – unlocked during story

Optional Characters – all available to unlock after completing the story:

  1. Oldhead – tag every graffiti spot in every stage, will unlock automatically while doing all graffiti spot trophies
  2. Mesh – find him multiple times in Brink Terminal and complete his challenges, will unlock automatically while doing Brink Terminal Bombed :silver:
  3. Rise – find her multiple times in Pyramid Island and complete her challenges, will unlock automatically while doing Pyramid Island Bombed :silver:
  4. Rave – find her multiple times in Varsum Hills and complete her challenges
  5. Shine – find her multiple times in Millennium Mall and complete her challenges
  6. Coil – find him multiples times in Mataan and complete his challenges
  7. Flesh Prince – find him in his hideout in Mataan and perform the Popping dance in front of him
  8. Rietveld – find her in the area next to the basketball courts in Versum Hill, then defeat all the police that attack
  9. Frank – found skating around the main plaza in Versum Hill, beat his score of 5,000,000 in the time limit
  10. DJ Cyber – find him on top of the billboard tower in Millennium Square, beat his score of 1,900,000 in the time limit
  11. DOT EXE – found skating around the large open area of Millennium Mall, beat his score of 4,000,00 in the time limit
  12. Eclipse – found skating around the high square in Brink Terminal, beat her score of 5,000,000 in the time limit
  13. Devil Theory – found skating around the many floating rails on Pyramid Island, beat his score of 5,000,000 in the time limit
  14. Futurism – found skating around the golden statue in Mataan, beat her score of 6,000,000 in the time limit
BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Photo Generic
Take 17 pictures of Polo the scuba mascot.
Bronze
Polo mascots are blue penguin statues that you can find throughout the game. Once you unlock the phone camera during the story, you can use it to take a photo of these Polo mascots. The first time you photograph one, you will hear a sound indicating that it has registered. Unfortunately there is no way of checking which ones you have photographed outside of this sound cue, so keep track of those that you have done.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Funk Star
Achieve the maximum level of wanted heat.
Silver
Your heat level increases as you tag graffiti spots without dying or visiting an outfit station. In order to get a heat level of 6 you will need to first complete the story, as prior to this you can only hit level 5. After completing the game, you will likely get this naturally while you are tagging all the graffiti spots in each area.

General Tips for score combos:

  • Use manual :r2: to hold onto your combo in between rails
  • When manualing, you can restore the manual bar by using a special trick ( :r2: + any trick :square: / :triangle: / :circle: ) at the cost of some special energy, which can help with stretches between rails
  • Increase your multiplier by turning into corners on rails, hitting quarter-pipes while manualing, and wallriding on billboards (both sides) – a higher multiplier is far more beneficial than a high base score
  • Plan your route through each stage so that you can progress through to a stopping point that has a closed-circuit rail that allows you to grind it endlessly until you reach the score threshold
  • Avoid manualing up stairs as these can instantly end your combo – use rails, jump up them or avoid them altogether
  • When grinding rails, spam special tricks ( :r2: + any trick :square: / :triangle: / :circle: ) while you have special energy to build up your base score faster
  • Regular tricks and hard corners can be used to build your special energy back up

The best route through Versum Hill for achieving this score combo is starting in the street area at the beginning, before heading into the Main Plaza and then down into the Underground Plaza. If you want you can start out by going up onto the train tracks and getting some extra starting multiplier by wallriding the train and hitting the billboards along the track, but this isn’t necessary. If you hit most wallrides and hard corners on rails along these three areas, you should be able to reach a 100x multiplier inside the Underground Plaza. At this point you can get onto the closed-circuit rail on the left side of the area and repeat tricks until you reach the base score necessary to reach the 13,000,000 score threshold. With a 100x multiplier, you will need a base score of 130,000 to achieve this score combo.

Below is the rail you can ride endlessly.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Versum Hill Bombed
Hit all graffiti spots in Versum Hill
Silver
Before going for all graffiti spots in Versum Hill, you will want to collect the map pickup. This spawns between the two billboards before the Main Plaza after your gang takes over Versum Hill.

Once you collect the map, all graffiti spots will appear on the map, and get highlighted when you pull your phone out. Some graffiti spots can be difficult to reach/find:

  • Some graffiti will appear above where Police Turrets appear, you will need to get a heat level of 2 or above to spawn these, then jump onto them to get the height to hit these graffiti.
  • Along the main road you will find the train station, which you can access by smashing the glass barriers with your dash :l2: . Head inside and speak to Rave in the corner to spawn the graffiti on the train that travels along the tracks – there is graffiti on both sides.

  • Head along the train track and enter the tunnel at the end to find another area of the map with graffiti.
BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Hideout Tricked
Get a 2.000.000 score combo in Hideout
Silver
See Versum Hill Tricked :gold: for tips on how to get high score combos.

As the Hideout is quite small, you can’t build up a huge multiplier here. If you hit all the rail corners, wallrides and quarter-pipes you can get a 30x combo. With a 30x multiplier, you will need a base score of 67,000 to achieve this score combo. Unfortunately there isn’t a closed-circuit loop for you to grind here at all, so you will just need to grind around on the rails and jump between them to build your base score.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Hideout Bombed
Hit all graffiti spots in Hideout
Silver
Before going for all graffiti spots in Versum Hill, you will want to collect the map pickup. You will need to complete the game first, then speak to Tryce to spawn the map on the rails.

Once you collect the map, all graffiti spots will appear on the map, and get highlighted when you pull your phone out. Some graffiti spots can be difficult to reach/find:

  • Inside the back room, there is a hidden gap behind the couch that you can slide through to find some graffiti.
BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Millenium Mall Tricked
Get a 12.000.000 score combo in Millenium Mall
Gold
See Versum Hill Tricked :gold: for tips on how to get high score combos.

In Millennium Mall, there is a Main Plaza area that has a large open area and several floors of rails to grind around in a circle. From this room alone you can get close to 100x multiplier, and you can easily get over 100x if you do some comboing in the first area of the mall before manualing into this room. Due to the large gaps between areas if you fall down to the ground you will want to make sure to utilise special tricks while manualing to avoid ending your combo. There is no closed-circuit rail to grind here, but it is very easy to continue along the many, many rails in this area. With a 100x multiplier, you will need a base score of 120,000 to achieve this score combo.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Millenium Mall Bombed
Hit all graffiti spots in Millenium Mall
Silver
Before going for all graffiti spots in Millennium Mall, you will want to collect the map pickup. This spawns between the rails before the pathway that leads to Main Plaza after your gang takes over Millennium Mall.

Once you collect the map, all graffiti spots will appear on the map, and get highlighted when you pull your phone out.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Mataan Tricked
Get a 16.000.000 score combo in Mataan
Gold
See Versum Hill Tricked :gold: for tips on how to get high score combos.

The best route to achieve this score combo in Mataan is the long straight area before the golden statue, and then the Golden Statue area itself. The straight area doesn’t offer a huge opportunity for multipliers, only about 40x, but the Golden Statue area can easily get you to about 125x multiplier with all the rail corners you can hit on both floors. The rail on the bottom floor is a closed-circuit loop too so you can easily grind around this until you reach the required base score. With a 125x multiplier, you will need a base score of 128,000 to achieve this score combo.

If you want you can try this in the first area before the 3 moving bull heads, but you won’t be able to get 100x multiplier here without crossing the bull heads, which can be very dangerous and easy to fail.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Mataan Bombed
Hit all graffiti spots in Mataan
Silver
Before going for all graffiti spots in Mataan, you will want to collect the map pickup. This spawns next to the moving bull head by the highway after your gang takes over Mataan. If you fail to grab the map, you will need to return to Millennium Square and re-enter Mataan to get onto the highway again.

Once you collect the map, all graffiti spots will appear on the map, and get highlighted when you pull your phone out. Some graffiti spots can be difficult to reach/find:

  • One graffiti spot will appear behind two chain-link fences, in order to get over these you will need to perfect any trick while on foot, then immediately jump to get a boosted jump.
  • In the first area there is a door that will only open when you are riding on a bike, which will get you access to some graffiti above.
  • In the final area there are a bunch of yellow cranes you can grind along to reach hidden graffiti.
BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Pyramid Tricked
Get a 15.000.000 score combo in Pyramid Island
Gold
See Versum Hill Tricked :gold: for tips on how to get high score combos.

The best route through Pyramid Island for this score combo is to start all the way at the top of the Pyramid, working your way down to the floating rails, then down onto the lower floors. Between the many rails on the pyramid itself and the constantly turning rails in the floating rail section, you can easily get a 150x multiplier here, making it quite easy to reach the required score. There aren’t really any closed-circuit rails on the lowest levels of the island so you will likely need to continue your combo across different rails. The biggest danger here is falling all the way down and missing several levels of the area that you can build up your multiplier. With a 150x multiplier, you will need a base score of 100,000 to achieve this score combo.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Pyramid Bombed
Hit all graffiti spots in Pyramid Island
Silver
Before going for all graffiti spots in Pyramid Island you will want to collect the map pickup. This spawns near the very top under the Pyramid itself after your gang takes over Pyramid Island.

Once you collect the map, all graffiti spots will appear on the map, and get highlighted when you pull your phone out. Some graffiti spots can be difficult to reach/find:

  • One graffiti spot is right on the top of the Pyramid itself.
  • Inside the Pyramid Maze (requires getting enough REP and speaking to the Oldhead to enter), one graffiti spot will appear on a ledge above that you can access through a door on the right two rooms ahead from it.

  • Another graffiti spot in the Pyramid Maze, you must repeatedly hit the stacked vending machines to climb up to reach it.

You will also need to complete all challenges for the optional character Rise to unlock another graffiti:

  • Speak to Rise on the ground floor underneath a bridge you can jump across, she will ask you to take 3 photos. She will then start doing tricks, take another 3 photos of her in action.

  • Head up onto the bridge directly above you, then when jumping across the gap you will receive a text message from Rise.

  • Head up to the floating rails above to find Rise on the block next to the spiral rail. Choose one of the two spots to take more photos, then she will tell you to hit a graffiti spot for her, which will spawn this one. You can reach it by jumping off the rail nearby the graffiti.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Millenium Square Tricked
Get a 1.200.000 score in Millenium Square
Silver
See Versum Hill Tricked :gold: for tips on how to get high score combos.

Millennium Square is by far the easiest stage to reach the score combo for, as the score required is very low and you can get a decent multiplier here. You can get a 50x multiplier without too much hassle, with which you would only need a base score of 24,000 to achieve the score combo.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Millenium Square Bombed
Hit all graffiti spots in Millenium Square
Silver
Before going for all graffiti spots in Millennium Square, you will want to collect the map pickup. This spawns at the end of the loop rail in the Square itself after your gang takes over Millennium Square.

Once you collect the map, all graffiti spots will appear on the map, and get highlighted when you pull your phone out. Some graffiti spots can be difficult to reach/find:

  • On top of the billboard tower next to the square, wallride and jump along the billboards to reach the top.
  • In the northeast there is a gap between a halfpipe you can slide through to find another graffiti.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Brink Terminal Tricked
Get a 14.000.000 score combo in Brink Terminal
Gold
See Versum Hill Tricked :gold: for tips on how to get high score combos.

The best route for Brink Terminal is starting in the Planet Plaza with the multiple rail loops, down the stairs into the Canal area, then into the Bus Terminal area, before climbing up to the High Square with another closed-circuit rail. While Planet Plaza has tighter loops allowing for quicker base score build up (and the option to do it without paying attention by just holding your analog to lean into corners constantly on the small planets), it can be a bit difficult to reach this area while maintaining a combo due to the stairs leading up to this area.

For that reason it’s best to start here before going through the larger areas. There are heaps of rails in the Bus Terminal that allow you to build a large multiplier, and it leads directly up to the High Square where you can loop until you get enough base score. A multiplier of 110x is very manageable with this route, which would require a base score of 128,000 to achieve the score combo.

BOMB RUSH CYBERFUNK Trophy Guide Brink Terminal Bombed
Hit all graffiti spots in Brink Terminal
Silver
Before going for all graffiti spots in Brink Terminal, you will want to collect the map pickup. This spawns above the road next to the Bus Terminal after your gang takes over Brink Terminal.

Once you collect the map, all graffiti spots will appear on the map, and get highlighted when you pull your phone out. Some graffiti spots can be difficult to reach/find:

  • Behind a metal fence that you can access with the fire hydrant in front of it, using a skateboard do tricks on the fire hydrant and it will raise you high enough to jump over.
  • At the top of the art gallery tower next to High Square, go inside the building and climb up to the top.

You will also need to complete all challenges for the optional character Mesh to unlock multiple graffiti:

  • Speak to Mesh on High Square and he’ll ask you to tag a nearby graffiti.

  • After tagging the graffiti, head to Planet Plaza to find him grinding around, talk to him and beat his score.

  • Head to the canal area and go through the tunnel to receive a text message from Mesh.

  • Speak to Mesh on the canal bridge, he’ll ask you to drain the canal.

  • Go through where the Oldhead is located (requires 140 REP), then climb the light and cross the billboard to reach a platform with a rail you can take up to the control room. Spray the graffiti to drain the canal and uncover the last of the graffiti spots.

PS5 list doesn’t sync currently, sometimes it can take a while for lists to be uploaded to the server. If you play while offline you will be able to see your trophies.

Photo Generic appears to be glitched for some, myself included. I’m not sure what has triggered it but I recall getting the sound on all pictures, have now run through them all three times with no trophy. Devs appear to be aware for PC and have acknowledged the issue on Steam. I’ve even tried taking pictures on the first 3 of a new save but no luck. Might run through them all on a new save but doesn’t seem to be a guaranteed fix.

Yes, i had the platinum trophy for PS5 and the trophies wouldn’t sync. A temporary makshift solution is once a trophy pops, press X on the trophy notification and it’ll take you directly to the trophy list.
