This Doom Eternal Guide shows all 15 Cheat Code Locations. There are 15 Cheats in total and finding them all unlocks the Reforged the Genie Lamp trophy or achievement. Cheats can be used only via Mission Select. Unlike traditional cheats that you would enter as a secret button combination somewhere, these cheats are all found as collectibles in the story. They look like yellow Question Marks in the game world.
After collecting a cheat, go to Mission Select and press Square (PS4) / X (Xbox One) to activate it. Beware, doing so will disable Slayer Gate Keys from spawning.
You can also activate multiple cheats at once! Select as many as you like. In order to unlock a Mission for replay you must finish it first, then it becomes available in the Mission Select. The Cheats below are all in the chronological order they can be collected in. The Cheat overview in Mission Select has a slightly different order.
Cheat Locations (Chronological Order of Appearance)
Cheat Code #1 – Infinite Extra Lives – Player has infinite Extra Lives
Mission 1: Hell on Earth – After climbing some walls with flaming pipes and proceeding through a subway train, you will enter a corridor with some tentacles coming from the ground. After the tentacles you will go through a small room with 3 zombies, a soldier and an explosive barrel. After you exit the room there is a crate to the right. Jump on top of the crate and up to a cracked vent, punch through it to reveal the Cheat.
Cheat Code #2 – IDDQD – Sentinel Armor is active for the whole Mission.
Mission 3: Cultist Base – In the fight just after getting the Super Shotgun, kill all enemies in the room and some poles will be revealed, swing on them and double jump and turn around mid-air and dash to the secret on the platform in the center of the room.
Cheat Code #3 – Silver Bullet Mode – Staggered Demons die from a single hit from projectiles, explosions, Flame Belch, or Dashing
Mission 4: Doom Hunter Base – On top of the first cylinder where you empty a coffin. From the climbable wall before jumping across the gap, climb to the top of it from here instead.
Cheat Code #4 – Infinite Ammo – All weapons have infinite ammo
Mission 5: Sure Gore Nest – In a big area with a huge fight where you find 3 colored pedestals (blue, yellow, red). After using the yellow key on the pedestal, check for a cracked wall at the left side of the platform with the pedestals. Jump to this cracked wall and punch/dash through it to find the secret.
Cheat Code #5 – IDKFA – All weapons are unlocked and mastered, and all equipment is unlocked
Mission 6: Arc Complex – After the Slayer Gate in this mission (marked purple on map). Once you jump across to the next building, it’s in a hole just in front of you.
Cheat Code #6 – Powerup Mode: Onslaught – Infinite Onslaught powerup is active for the whole mission
Mission 7: Mars Core – In the room with several tentacles, enter the room on the right to see this cheat location.
Cheat Code #7 – Powerup Mode: Overdrive – Infinite Overdrive powerup is active for the whole mission
Mission 9: Taras Nabad – From this mission’s Slayer Gate (purple circle on map), proceed to the next fight. After the fight go along the path to progress, then turn left immediately and break the wall. Behind that wall is the Cheat Code. It’s sitting right next to a Secret Encounter (pink icon on map).
Cheat Code #8 – All Runes – All Runes unlocked
Hub Area: Fortress of Doom – This is in the outside area of the ship where you can get the Original Praetor Suit. You must first use 2 batteries on the room containing the original Praetor Suit. Then drop out of the window, turn around and dash into an opening near the bottom of the tower to find the secret.
Cheat Code #9 – Fully Upgraded Suit – All Praetor Suit Perks are unlocked
Hub Area: Fortress of Doom – This is only available after completing Mission 8: Sentinel Prime. From where you start out on the Fortress of Doom (the control room where you spawn in), walk into the next room straight ahead (top floor). You can see the “?” icon floating on the platform above the red beam of light. To the right side of the red beam you can see a red button on a window [Screenshot #2, circled red]. Shoot this red button, it will unlock a red air vent on the floor. Jump on the air vent and it will catapult you up to the ventilation shaft from where you can drop down onto the Cheat Code Secret [Screenshot #3].
Cheat Code #10 – Famine Mode – Demons do not drop health or armor on death
Mission 10: Nekravol – Late into the mission you come to a section with two spiked crusher traps coming from above. You must walk under them to reach a room with a big combat encounter. In that room use a skull switch on the left to reveal a second set of crusher traps on the opposite side of the room. Go under these crusher traps. Once you’ve past these traps there will be platforms moving upwards, straight in front of you. Here you can actually drop down the hole through which the platforms go up. This leads to the secret on a hidden floor below.
Cheat Code #11 – Party Mode – Demons burst into confetti on full body gib, lower body gib, upper body gib, limb loss, and fatal headshots
Mission 11: Nekravol Part II – After the 2nd Secret Encounter in this mission, you are supposed to jump down a tunnel. Do not jump down the tunnel yet. Instead, jump to a platform on the side of the tunnel, then look down in the corner to the right to see a breakable wall, which has this cheat code behind it.
Cheat Code #12 – Instant Stagger Mode – One hit from projectiles, explosions, Flame Belch, or Dashing instantly staggers Demons. It has no effect on unique Bosses.
Mission 11: Nekravol Part II – Found at the very end of the mission. After completing the final encounter, go back to the elevator you entered the area with and drop down to this hallway just underneath the top floor. There’s also a Praetor Suit Upgrade Point in the same spot.
Cheat Code #13 – Powerup Mode: Berserk – Infinite Berserk powerup on map start. Only works on Hell on Earth, Exultia, Super Gore Nest, Arc Complex, and Mars Core
Mission 12: Urdak – After realigning the second ring, before jumping back go around to the left to find a breakable wall with this secret behind it.
Cheat Code #14 – QuakeCon Mode – An invisible audience cheers based on how you play
Reward for buying all Praetor Suit Upgrades. Throughout the game you find Sentinel Ghosts (transparent holograms) that give you a silver rune. These you can redeem in the pause menu to unlock new Praetor Suit abilities. Once you have unlocked them all the QuakeCon Mode Cheat is an automatic reward you get with the last Suit Upgrade. It’s not found in the game world.
Cheat Code #15 – Activate All Cheats – Toggles all of the unlocked cheat codes
Collect all other cheats to unlock this.
