Final Fantasy 16 (XVI) Home, Sweet Home Walkthrough

Home, Sweet Home is the 28th main story quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Home, Sweet Home main scenario chapter.

Quest Info: Amidst the fallen dreams of a people long faded, Clive and his friends strive to realize a new dream – a dream wherein people of all backgrounds, be they man, Bearer, or Dominant, can live on terms of their own choosing.

Objectives:

Speak with Otto
Speak with Vivian in the map room
Speak with Harpocrates in the shelves
Return to your chambers
Read Gav’s letter

Speak with Otto

At the start of the quest, you’ll be in the new Hideaway. This is your home base for the rest of the game, now including all of the essential side characters and vendors. Before you have much new interesting stuff going on though you need to head up the elevator from the dock and speak with Otto in the Mess.

Speak with Vivian in the map room

Head nearby and speak with Vivian in the map room. Vivian is a new important character who gives a larger overview of the game’s events in map and character web form if you like, as well as going over important story events at certain points.

Speak with Harpocrates in the shelves

You then need to go back and speak with Harpocrates in the shelves. If you hadn’t interacted with him prior, he functions as the lore repository, allowing you to view all entries you have unlocked so far, as well as unique ones for reaching specific knowledge levels.

Return to your chambers

Head out of the shelves and you’ll automatically be stopped by Tarja.

Read Gav’s letter

Gav has sent a letter to you, which you can read at the Reading Table in Clive’s chambers. Through the rest of the story you receive letters either as a result of story events, or ones related to side quests. When reading this letter there are a couple of scenes, then you automatically progress to the next main quest.
