Quest Info: Clive finally accepts the truth: that he is the Dominant of Ifrit, the second Eikon of Fire. Along with this knowledge, he finds a new purpose – to unravel the mystery of why he has chosen to bear this burden, and to live not for revenge, but to atone for the crimes he committed thirteen years before.

After the events in Phoenix Gate, you’ll be back at The Dim Obelisk. Follow the path all the way back to Eastpool.

After going through the gate, you’ll be attacked by groups of Imperial soldiers. Keep progressing through the town, taking out all of the waves that appear.

If you’ve not tried out the new Ifrit abilities yet, it would be a good time to learn and swap in Ignition, likely for Scarlet Cyclone. Ignition is really strong against groups of single enemies. Red bar enemies it will pick up and pull around, allowing you to basically drive through them, and single staggerable enemies you will attach to and deal a large amount of damage. It can be a staple for the rest of the game.

After all the normal groups of enemies are defeated, a new enemy named Imperial Champion will appear. You’ll come across these enemies relatively often after this point, with a largely similar moveset to the Minotaur you faced before. They have their own unique named move though called Divine Hammer, where they will slam their hammer on the ground and send a wave of holy damage in front of time, easily avoided by just circling around them. Remember that you also have Limit unlocked now, which you can activate to help deal much more damage during stagger as it increases damage done by all your attacks, including Eikon abilities.

Return to the hideaway

After the Champion is defeated there will be a scene, then you will be returned to the world map and must select the Hideaway to continue and complete the current main quest. .
