The Wages of Guilt is the 15th main story quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Wages of Guilt main scenario chapter.

- Quest Info: Clive discovers that the second Dominant of Fire, the one who slew his brother thirteen years before, was none other than he himself. His resolve to see Joshua’s murderer put to the sword undiminished, he begs for Cid to grant his death – but Cid has other plans for his tortured ward.

Speak with Cid
At the start of this quest you’re back in the Hideaway. The shop and Blacksmith have new items you can buy and make, so make sure to head there at some point. Most notably, using the item Windshard you received after the Garuda boss fight you can craft the unique sword Stormcry. Each time you receive one of the unique shard materials from a boss fight you can craft a new (and better) sword, so make sure to check back each time.
When you’re ready to continue, head out into the main area and speak with Cid.
Journey to Kingsfall
You aren’t able to do anything else at the current moment, so when you’re stocked up open the world map and select The Kingsfall to continue.
