Hogwarts Legacy contains 3 Hogwarts Secrets. This guide shows all Hogwarts Secrets with their Locations and Solutions. The Secrets are required to finish the ‘Solve Hogwarts Secrets’ Challenge, which rewards you with 3 Appearances. The Appearance Rewards are mandatory to get 100% Collectibles Completion for the Collector’s Edition trophy & achievement.
You can claim the Appearances afterward from the Challenge Menu by clicking the completed Challenge icons.
None of the Secrets are missable. You can still do them after the story in free-roam.

Hogwarts Secret 1: Book of Admittance Hogwarts Secret Puzzle
First you must finish Main Quest #40: The Polyjuice Plot to gain access to the Headmaster’s Office. You will also need to unlock Alohomora (Level 3) spell from finding 22 Demiguise Statues. See Demiguise Statue Locations. Once you have Alohomora on Level 3, go to the Headmaster’s Office. To get here, fast travel to “The Grand Staircase” > “Trophy Room” – from where you spawn turn right and go through the gate, then keep following the linear path upstairs. Once you’re in Headmaster’s Office, open the locked doors and take the stairs on the balcony outside, open the Level 3 door lock to go to the secret room above Headmaster’s Office. There you must collect “Key of Admittance”.
Now go back down to the phoenix statue just down the stairs from Headmaster’s office. Open the door opposite the phoenix statue on the other side of the corridor to complete this Hogwarts Secret.
Hogwarts Secret 2: Clocktower Hogwarts Secret Puzzle
First you must finish Main Quest #25: The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament, this unlocks Alohomora spell to open Level 1 Locks. To unlock Level 2-3 locks you must do Side Quest “The Man Behind the Moons” and collect the Demiguise Statues. You can open Level 2 locks after delivering 9 Demiguise Statues and Level 3 Locks after 22 Statues (there are 33 Statues total). Fast travel to “The South Wing” > “Clock Tower Courtyard”, from where you spawn open the 2nd door on the left in front of you.
Behind the door go upstairs to the second floor where you will see 4 different symbols the clocktower pendulum swings by. Cast Arresto Momentum when the pendulum swings by one of the symbols. You have to do this on all 4 symbols to be able to access all 4 doors in the Clocktower. Each of the doors has a metal gate in front of it that displays the symbols that opens it. Freezing the pendulum in front of that particular symbol opens the gate temporarily. Can be highlighted with Revelio. Step through all 4 of these doors to finish the Secret. There’s also a chest behind each door. There’s one door per floor. Three are inside the clocktower, one is on the ground floor at the fast travel point.

Hogwarts Secret 3: Viaduct Bridge Hogwarts Secret Puzzle
First, you must obtain Incendio spell (from Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1). Then, fast travel to “The Library Annex” > “Central Hall”. From where you spawn, turn go up the stairs to your left, at the top of the stairs go straight ahead through the big gate to reach the Viaduct Bridge (you can also put a waypoint on “The Great Hall” and it will lead you there). On the Viaduct Bridge are 4 braziers and at the start of the bridge is a floor plate with 4 numbers. These same numbers can be found at the base of the braziers. The solution to the puzzle is to turn each brazier to the correct number, which will then open a hatch. See the number solution in image below. When standing on the number plate and looking towards the bridge the solution is: Left Front = IV / Left Back = I / Right Front = II / Right Back = III.
Those are all 3 Hogwarts Secrets in Harry Potter Hogwarts Legacy and finishes the “Solve Hogwarts Secrets” Challenge. Remember to claim the Appearance rewards in the Challenge Menu.
