Hogwarts Legacy Minding Your Own Business Walkthrough

Minding Your Own Business is a Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Minding Your Own Business side mission. This is a PlayStation exclusive quest, it’s not available on other platforms.

Location: Hogsmeade

Quest Level: Level 25
Requirement: Having Finished Main Quest: Fire and Vice – PlayStation Exclusive Quest!
Mission Info: A house-elf standing outside what appears to be a vacant shop is trying to get my attention. I should see what she wants.

Objectives:

• Speak with the house-elf outside the vacant shop in Hogsmeade
• Speak with Cassandra Mason
• Collect 1,500 Gold to purchase the shop from Cassandra Mason
• Speak to Penny the house-elf
• Clean up and make repairs
• Open the mysterious chest
• Explore what lies below
• Explore the library

Starting Location: Minding Your Own Business

Speak with the house-elf outside the vacant shop in Hogsmeade

Just talk to the elf, she will mention that Cassandra sells the shop.

Speak with Cassandra Mason

Just follow the quest marker to find Cassandra.

Collect 1,500 Gold to purchase the shop from Cassandra Mason

You will need 1,500 Gold. Sell unimportant stuff if you need money. Once you got the money, return to Cassandra and buy the shop.

Speak to Penny the house-elf

Now get back to Penny and talk to her.

Clean up and make repairs

Cast Reparo on all three items inside the shop.

Open the mysterious chest

Follow the marker and open the chest.

Explore what lies below

Follow the given path until you reach a room, inside that room open the chest.

After you open the chest, try to get out of the room. The door will close and the room goes completely dark. Cast Lumos now and earch for the open door.

Follow the given path until you reach another room with mannequins in it, and interact with the figure in the corner.

The room will go dark again and it will change, now interact with the figure next to the door.

Follow the given path and you will reach another closed door.

To the right of the door is a flying lamp, cast Accio or Wingardium Leviosa, and lead it to the hand next to the door.

Pass the now-open door and you will reach a foyer, here you can go to the left or right. It doesn’t matter which side you choose first because you will have to go to both sides anyway.

Explore the library (if you choose the left side first)

Follow the given path.

You will reach a closed door.

Walk the path to the left of the closed door until you see this statue and enter the passage behind it.

You will reach a balcony.

Turn around now and follow the given path until you are in an upside-down room. Go up the stairs here.

Cast Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to catch the lamp.

The door next to you is now open, lead the lamp you just grabbed and lead it to the hand.

You will now be in the room again that was upside-down before, go up the same stairs again and pass the door again.

You will reach a room with a lamp to your left, cast Accio or Wingardium Leviosa and lead it to the hand in the same room.

The room will change and you can pass it, once passed turn around and grab the lamp through the window and lead it to the hand next to you.

You will get into a room with a lamp in front of you, cast Accio or Wingardium Leviosa and lead it to the hand near the closed door which you came across earlier.

Now walk the path to the right of the closed door until you see the golden statue. Enter the room behind it and follow the given path.

You will be in a room with three doors, the middle door is the right one. But it doesn’t matter what you choose because if you choose the wrong door you will end up in this room again and the wrong door will disappear.

Once you passed the middle door you will end up in a corridor where you just walk in circles, after a while you will automatically find a dark section of the corridor. Cast Lumos now and pass the door.

You will be in a dark room again, cast Lumos and walk around in the room until you find the door, just pass it.

In the next room, interact with the figurine and a fight against mannequins will start.

After the fight with the mannequins, a door will open. Pass it.

You will be in a room with a lantern. Cast Accio or Wingardium Leviosa and lead it to the hand next to the closed door from earlier.

The previously closed door is now open, pass it.

Entertain Fastidio

A little fight against Fastidio will start, but you can’t do anything except protect yourself with Protego.

Return to the foyer

After the fight withFastidio, return to the foyer where you were earlier in this mission, this time choose the right side.

Explore the atrium

Just follow the path until you reach a closed door again.

Go to the left of the closed door and follow the given path. You will reach a corridor, and after a while, you will find a door with a barricade. Destroy it.

In the next section, after you passed the barricaded door, you have to get the lamp from the left side and lead it to the hand next to you.

Pass the door that just opened, turn to the left and you will see two doors that you can go through. Go through the first door.

Pass the first door and you will see another door with a barricade, destroy it and lead the lamp to the hand next to you.

Now turn around, go through the door, turn to your left, and enter the second door.

Turn to your left and lead the lamp from far far away to the hand next to you.

A door next to you will now open, pass it.

A fight against mannequins will start. Defeat them all.

After defeating all mannequins, look for the now open door and pass it. You will end up in a corridor that will go dark. Cast Lumos, look for another open door, and pass it but turn around immediately and follow the given path, you will end up in a room with a lantern. Lead it to the closed door in the atrium.

Now go to the right side of the closed door and follow the given path. You will end up in a room where you have to lead another lamp to a hand.

A door will open, and follow the given path until you reach a chess field. Cast Revelio and you will see some Red Fields, do not go onto the red fields and make your way onto the other side.

Follow the path and you will end up in the same room you were in before the chess field. Lead the lamp to the hand again.

Follow the way and you will end up in a room with another lamp, and lead it to the closed door in the atrium.

Play with the poltergeist

The door in the atrium will now be open, follow the path and another fight against the poltergeist will start. You can’t do much except blocking his attacks with Protego. After a while he will summon some mannequins which you will have to defeat.

Return to the foyer

Return to the foyer where the big door will now be opened.

Venture beyond the foyer doors

Pass the big door and follow the path.

Challenge Fastidio

A fight against Fastidio and his monster will start. You will have to defeat his monster.

In the third phase, you will be upside-down for a while, the controls during this part will be reversed too.

Return to the shop

After the fight against Fastidio go back to the shop.

Speak to Penny

Talk to Penny inside the shop.

Seek out Officer Singer

Now follow the quest marker to Officer Singer.

Confront Cassandra Mason

Go with Officer Singer to Cassandra’s house, and a fight against Cassandra will start. Defeat her.

Return to the shop

After the fight against Cassandra, return to the shop and talk to Penny.
