The best and fastest car in Mafia 1 Remake Definitive Edition is the Flame Spear. At 174mph (280 km/h) top speed it is the fastest car in the game.
How to Get Best Car
In order to get the best/fastest car, the “Flame Spear“, do the following:
- Finish the Story
- After the Story, load up Free Ride (Free Roam) from the Title Screen
- Head to Bertone’s Autoservice in Downtown and enter the building through the front door
- Once inside, you will be greeted by Bertone. On a noticeboard behind him, there will be 5 pictures (Post Cards). Pick them up. If they are not there, it’s because you haven’t made enough Story Progress yet. They become available over the course of the story and all 5 will be available when you’re done with the story. These Post Cards unlock 5 Hidden Cars around the map, and the Flame Spear is one of them.
- Head to Central Island (the big island in the middle of the city) and go to the south-east corner there. Check the location below. There will be a garage that you can easily access from the street. Open it and the Flame Spear will be inside. Simply enter the vehicle and it will unlock permanently in your garage at Salieri’s Bar in Little Italy (where you spawn each time you enter Free Ride).
Remember, there are 4 other hidden cars and they all have impressive stats. Refer to Mafia 1 Remake All Hidden Car Locations for the rest of them. If you don’t like how the Flame Spear handles, I recommend the Trautenberg Sport (140 mph / 225 km/h). It’s one of the other hidden cars and a great alternative.
