In Nioh 3 you will have to open a locked door in Futamata region near Tealeaf Village (Warring States era). This happens during Main Quest “The Battle for Futamata Castle” and Mythic Tale “Searching for a Spy”. This gate is part of the story objective “Make your way toward Futamata Castle” and presents a roadblock to players.
To open the locked door you must find the Abandoned Shrine Key. From the locked gate, turn around and then to your left will be a path leading uphill. Follow this path to the top. There in front of a temple with a Master NPC, you can go down a side path where an enemy firing a rifle is (you will have seen him on your way to the gate). Where the rifle enemy stands you must loot the golden glowing item to get the Abandoned Shrine Key.
Now just head back down to the gate and use the key to open it!
