Reanimal features a secret ending which requires finding all 5 hidden Coffins in a single playthrough. Unlocking the secret ending gives the Friends Reunited trophy and achievement.
All you have to do for the secret ending is to find the 5 Coffins, then finish the story and you’ll get an extra cutscene after the regular ending.
Missable Warning: The 5 coffins must be found in a single playthrough! Getting the coffins through chapter select will not unlock the secret ending. If you miss one, start a new game and collect them all again.

Coffin #1 – Chapter 1: Dead in the Water
During Chapter 1 you will get to a point where you must drive a minecart over a bridge for story purposes. After you cross the bridge, get off the minecart, follow the train track to the right. You will see two train wrecks, enter them and follow the path through the wrecks. Behind the train wrecks you find the coffin, open it.
Coffin #2 – Chapter 3: After the Flood
Immediately after you use the harpoon from the boat for the first time to blow up a mine, you will reach a hotel in front of you. BEFORE entering the hotel, take the flooded city path to your right. Here you will see two mines on the left side, blow them up with the harpoon. Drive the boat to the end of the area and enter the building in front of you through the hole. Just follow the path downstairs and you see the coffin.
Coffin #3 – Chapter 3: After the Flood
After exiting the hotel section, you will reach a big open sea area with a huge cannon on the central island. Drive the boat around that cannon through the right side. Behind the cannon on the back left side of the sea, you will see some mountains and an alcove where you can drive through. At the end you will find the coffin.
Coffin #4 – Chapter 4: No Shelter
After you sneak through a dark room with sleeping enemies that you aren’t allowed to step on, you will soon enter another room with 3 kid enemies that attack you, and a big hole with a rope in the middle of the room. Immediately after killing the 3 enemies, go through the door in the bottom left corner to find the coffin. Grab this BEFORE interacting with the body on the rope which will end the chapter! This is at the very end of the chapter.
Coffin #5 – Chapter 7: The Spoils
In Chapter 7 you will go through some trenches and enter a bunker where you use an elevator. After the elevator ride you grab bolt cutters from the operating room (story-related). Use them to open the door in the corridor, then go through the room with exploding soldiers. You must wait till a soldier in the back right corner explodes to blow a hole in the wall. In the next corridor, run forward past the explosive soldiers on the beds until you take a right turn. As soon as you take a right turn, a wall behind you explodes and a wheelchair gets pushed behind you. TURN AROUND and enter the wall that exploded behind you. You will reach a secret room with a big wheel. Turn the wheel to reveal a ladder, climb down to find the coffin. The trophy and secret ending won’t unlock immediately, you must still finish the story.
Secret Ending
Now proceed to finish the story normally (9 chapters total). You don’t need to look out for anything else. Then after the regular ending, you get a second cutscene which is the secret ending. You will see the 5 ghosts from the coffin embrace the girl and a well overflows. You unlock the trophy/achievement 
Friends Reunited as a reward.
