Red Dead Redemption All Stranger Task Locations

There are 18 Stranger Tasks (Stranger Missions) in Red Dead Redemption 1. For the People are Still Strange trophy / achievement you must complete any 15 of them. For the Redeemed trophy / achievement (100% Completion), you must complete all Stranger Tasks, except for “I Know You” which doesn’t count.

They can be completed either during the main story or in the post-game free roam. Each one is automatically unlocked from main story progression, you don’t need to do anything extra to unlock them. Then they will get marked on the map immediately with a white question mark, or a purple question mark / search zone for later steps in multi-part tasks.

This guide is updated for the Remaster on PS4 / PS5 / PC / Xbox Series S/X / Nintendo Switch 2 / Mobile.
