Saints Row How to Enable Auto-Drive

August 22, 2022 by PowerPyx 2 Comments

Saints Row (2022 Reboot) has a hidden auto-drive feature that automatically drives you wherever you place the waypoint on the map. The game doesn’t tell you about it, so this guide will explain how to unlock and enable Automatic Driving.

1. Unlock Auto-Drive

Auto-Drive needs to be unlocked first. It’s a reward for completing all Venture Missions of the Tier 4 Venture “Planet Saints“. This Venture costs $1,600,000 to build. Like other Ventures you build it at the Empire Table in your Headquarters after reaching Tier 4. You must steal 12 moving trucks to finish it. These randomly spawn all over the map and will show on the minimap with a white truck icon. Sideslam the Trucks until they stop, defeat the driver and bring it back to the Venture. Talk to the Venture Manager after stealing 12 Trucks to complete the questline. You get the AI Auto-Drive feature in the Rewards Screen.

The downside is that this is pretty late into the game and not available from the start. Consider this an endgame feature.

2. How to Enable AI Auto Drive

You activate Auto Drive by entering any car, then hold TRIANGLE-BUTTON (PlayStation) / Y-BUTTON (Xbox) / Same Button you use to enter the Vehicle on PC. This makes you climb onto the roof. The car will automatically start driving to the map marker. You can mark specific icons or put the map anywhere else you want. It’s slower than driving yourself but requires no input by you, the car will drive itself to the destination.

For everything else needed for 100% Completion refer to the Saints Row Wiki & Strategy Guide.

I guess this doesn’t work with vehicles that have turrets like the Marshall skirmish? Ruins the point?

I’m level 20 and I haven’t done the mission which allows me to get to tier 4. Still doing clean up on the businesses I’ve already opened. Insurance fraud kicking my ass! lol
