Lakeview Hotel (Otherworld) is the 14th area in Silent Hill 2 Remake. This 100% walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies, achievements and 100% completion is included: Memos, Strange Photos, Glimpses from the Past, Key Items, Puzzle Solutions, Trophies & Achievements.
All Collectibles must be found in a single playthrough. Everything is missable! After leaving an area you can’t go back. There’s no Chapter Select and no Free-Roam after the story. Collectibles don’t carry over into New Game Plus either. The game has 10 manual save slots, make use of this by saving in different slots regularly. If you missed anything you can reload a previous save to replay from there.
The Memos and Strange Photos you found can be viewed in the Inventory Menu by pressing the Touchpad. Glimpses from the Past can’t be tracked anywhere. This guide is intended for the “Light” or “Standard” Puzzle Difficulty, the solutions for both difficulties will be mentioned. Combat difficulty does not matter, all Trophies can be done on “Light” difficulty.

Strange Photo #25: “Still can’t get it right”
In the bathroom of Room 302. You will need to move a trolley out of the way to get in.
Glimpse of the Past #26
Push the trolley to the hallway in front of Room 304, then the floor breaks and you can jump down to the 2nd floor. You find this on the couch in the Reading Room.
Memo #68 (Lakeview Hotel): Burned Note
Take the elevator from 2nd floor to basement. Go through the flooded basement and up the stairs to the Employee Section. Collect this from the desk in the Manager’s Office.
Trophy: Obsolete
After the boss fight in the lobby.
Key Item: Scarlet Egg + Rust-Colored Egg
Held by the Pyramid Heads after the fight. You place these in the doors to continue, and the door you choose to go through will give points towards either the Maria Ending (Scarlet Egg) or the In Water Ending (Rust-Colored Egg), so choose accordingly if you want a particular ending.
Strange Photo #26: “SHAPE FORCES THE MIND”
After the long hallway you’ll be on a catwalk with stairs leading up. Ignore the stairs and go around to the right to find this photo just before stairs that lead into the water.

Can get “In Water” ending to SAVE MY LIFE, I inspect the knife, low health for boss fights, rusted egg and full conversation, but nothing still, Leave and Maria endings are done

I was trying for the Maria ending and got the IN Water ending. I only inspected the knife once. Skipped the convo. Used the Scarlet Egg door and used the Fresh apple. I think my problem was I bumped into Maria a lot. I mean A LOT. It was fun for me to push her out of the way. I also would walk around and solve puzzles with my health blinking in the red the whole time. Hope those help.

What most likely happened is that you died at some point and didn’t recollect the Memos. Or skipped past a few at some point.

I did all the tips for Maria’s ending but didn’t get it. plus, I counted that I got 68 memos and still didn’t get that trophy.

Thank you so much for putting this together! This guide was PERFECT, but the weirdest thing happened for me where the Trophy for collecting the photos unlocked one photo early. It’s supposed to pop up for the final photo before the Mary battle, but I got it from the last photo you collect in the hotel on the way to the Pyramids fight. Not sure what happened there, but hey, at least I know I didn’t miss anything!
