South Vale (Otherworld) is the 7th area in Silent Hill 2 Remake. This 100% walkthrough will guide you to all collectibles in chronological order. Everything that’s needed for trophies, achievements and 100% completion is included: Memos, Strange Photos, Glimpses from the Past, Key Items, Puzzle Solutions, Trophies & Achievements.
All Collectibles must be found in a single playthrough. Everything is missable! After leaving an area you can’t go back. There’s no Chapter Select and no Free-Roam after the story. Collectibles don’t carry over into New Game Plus either. The game has 10 manual save slots, make use of this by saving in different slots regularly. If you missed anything you can reload a previous save to replay from there.
The Memos and Strange Photos you found can be viewed in the Inventory Menu by pressing the Touchpad. Glimpses from the Past can’t be tracked anywhere. This guide is intended for the “Light” or “Standard” Puzzle Difficulty, the solutions for both difficulties will be mentioned. Combat difficulty does not matter, all Trophies can be done on “Light” difficulty.

After going through the tunnel to the east side of South Vale, there will be a caravan with a save point on your right. Inside on the table is this memo.
Glimpse of the Past #17
Inside Neely’s Bar, your old map can be examined on the bar.
Memo #48 (South Vale): Letter
Answer the ringing payphone next to Martin St. and you’ll get this letter.
Key Item: Wrench
Also found at the payphone, make sure to grab it after getting the letter.
Strange Photo #16: “They’re here”
At the end of Katz St. outside the Lucky Jade Restaurant, there is a car with a photo in the driver seat. Smash the window to grab it.
Warning: Point of No Return
After going through the tunnel you unlock with the Wrench, you’ll return to the regular world and won’t be able to go back. Make sure you got everything before going through the tunnel.

Hi every one
I got confused, the door of Brookhaven Hospital Otherworld open to west side of south vale . There is no east side !

If you look at the map in the guide you’ll see it’s different than the first one you get right out of the hospital. They are split into 2 different maps. You don’t start collecting things until you’ve chased Laura a few times. Then you’ll get to a point where there is a gate and a tunnel with grates on the floor with the swinging arm guys. You end up on the East Side after that. I got confused too!
