There is a trophy for beating the game on Maximum Security difficulty, presumably the highest difficulty. Depending on how hard that is it could be a challenging platinum. We must also find all Implant Bios Collectibles. Uncovering the mystery of Kallipolis could also be tied to something completion related or it could be a secret in a specific place. The rest of the trophies will come from natural gameplay, nothing too complex. A bunch of story trophies, killing enemies in certain ways, and some other tutorial-type tasks. With only 27 trophies it’s a straightforward list, it will all depend on how hard the Maximum Security difficulty is.

  1. A couple of months ago the developers said that there would be a trophy for finding all possible ways to die in this game. I guess they walked the idea back.

      These two trophies can be related to all deaths. Maybe you unlock something every time you get a new death. Maybe every new death gives you an implant bio or something like that. Just weird calling the Harvest and read all implant bios trophy “Grim Reaper” if it doesn’t have to do with death.

      Also, the Commonality trophy can be a 100% completion trophy that requires you to do everything in the game. Maybe there is a list of challenges that need to be beat to get it. But this is just my speculation so I could be completely wrong aha.

      Lastly, I am expecting the Maximum Security difficulty to be a rough one. If you remember dead space on Hard core mode you were only allowed to save 3 times.

  5. A bit disappointing to see so few trophies. As you say, basically dependent on maximum security difficulty. Hopefully it can be brute forced and isn’t a question of minimal saves.

  6. No indictment on the quality of the game, of course, but based off two interviews with TrueAchievements and IGN the developers claimed there were trophies pertaining to seeing every death in the game, dismembering left-limbs 100 times, and “escaping habitats”.

    Appreciate these things change during development, but the interview stated they were finalised, so a bit misleading and disappointing to see. If the escaping habitats trophies/achievements are story-related, that’s a very convoluted way of saying so.

    • It was a bad idea for a trophy anyways, so rather than calling it misleading I’d say they probably realized after some feedback that it would’ve been a super monotonous and uninteresting trophy to earn. No matter how well done the deaths are, nobody wants to sit there and die repeatedly in every possible way just for a trophy. I’m all for them getting rid of that trophy.

  8. Dead Space Trilogy didn’t have easy Platinum trophies so I’m not surprised this won’t be easy either because of the Maximum Security difficulty trophy. Hopefully it’s reasonable, not as hard as Dead Space 2’s Platinum trophy and that it has New Game Plus to help.

    Since Krafton want to charge more for the PS5/Xbox Series versions, no free upgrade from PS4/Xbox One.

  9. i am already feeling the butthurt from playing on higher difficulty, dont enjoy it at all.
    the hope is there is an NG+ where you keep everything and make a more enjoyable experience,that again it depends on how long the game is.

    • That was what I had in mind. Never enjoy hard difficulty games, if NG+ is involved then why not give it a shot.

    • I was about to post my reply to you, basically saying that I doubt the 13 Jacob death animations would be available at launch, instead being DLC in the future (as part of that bundle). Turns out I was right.

      “To be clear: We’re not holding anything back from the main game for the season pass. We haven’t even started work on this content yet. It’s all new stuff that we’ll be working on in the new year. Fans have asked for EVEN MORE deaths, so we’re making it a priority next year.

      Personally I’m glad the “die in every way” trophy isn’t in the base game as that sounds tedious.

    • Ah yeah, id love a Devil In Me guide. May have to wait on that one, based on how The Quarry had so many trophy glitches starting out.

  13. Schofield said the game was pretty challenging and I assume he’s talking about the base difficulty. Without NG+ I can see this being a (very) difficult game, since it also seems to rely heavily on counters and dodges.

  16. Looks allright! Not sure if I will start with the highest difficulty from the start or do it in a ng+.

    Dead space 2 almost gave me a freaking heart attack with the 3 x saves we got.
    Will be fun to get back to the “dead space” universe.

  18. Will be heading to black iron on maximum security first playthrough. Can’t imagine the game was meant to be played any other way… And will certainly help with getting every death!

  19. Yeah, honestly I wasnt looking forward to a trophy that forced me to fail constantly. Lets see what Maximum Security entails before I jump in head first.
