Titanfall 2 Trophy Guide & Roadmap

October 29, 2016 by PowerPyx 20 Comments

Titanfall 2 Trophy Roadmap

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 5/10
  • Approximate amount of time to platinum: 10-15 hours
  • Offline trophies: 47 (37trophy, 8trophy, 2trophy)
  • Online trophies: 4 (3trophy, 1trophy)
  • Number of missable trophies: 0 (Can get everything via mission select)
  • Glitched trophies: 0 (The trophy for beating master difficulty is sligthly glitched when doing it via mission select, but obtainable. If it glitches replay last mission on master and it should unlock).
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, must beat campaign on expert difficulty.
  • Minimum Playthroughs: 1

Step 1: Beat Campaign on Expert Difficulty, Get All 46 Collectibles

Collect all 46 Pilot Helmet Collectibles (see trophy “Every Nook and Cranny”) and beat the campaign on Expert difficulty. That’s the highest difficulty and it’s unlocked from the beginning. After the first cutscene you must pause the game immediately and change the difficulty to Expert!

I suggest you follow this YouTube Playlist to get all trophies at the first chance: Titanfall 2 Trophy Playlist. Even though nothing is missable (you can go back via mission select) there are a few trophies that are tied to certain places in the campaign. When you get them at the first chance you don’t have to replay the mission later on.

A ton of trophies will come naturally without trying, especially the combat ones. Just focus on the collectibles, expert difficulty and follow the playlist. All remaining trophies can be mopped up quickly later on.

Step 2: Campaign Mop-Up

Still missing a campaign trophy? Now is the time to get it. By the end of your expert playthrough you should have around 90% trophies unlocked. If you are missing something you can quickly do it via mission select. In longer missions you can even select sub-chapters so you don’t have to replay the entire mission from the start.

Step 3: Multiplayer

There are only 3 multiplayer trophies. They are super easy, quick and self-explanatory. You only need to join a network, change your loadout and win a match.

Titanfall 2 Trophy Guide

Mark of the Advocate
Earned all trophies
Earn all other trophies to unlock platinum (DLC not required).
The Student…
Beat Pilot Anderson’s Gauntlet ghost recorder time
See “…Becomes the Master” trophy.
…Becomes the Master
Place in the top 3 on the Gauntlet scoreboard

This will also earn you the “The Student…” trophy or achievement.

In the very first mission you must go through a training. To place in the top 3 you must beat the Gauntlet Parkour in under 33.65 seconds. This is quite challenging and I recommend you keep this trophy for last.
The time here is very limited. If you make a single mistake you have to restart (pause the game and select retry if you mess up).

This is very skill dependent and it could take a while. It comes down to practice and memorizing all the moves.
You must kill all 15 enemies in the parkour. If you miss one it will add a few seconds to your time.

For my loadout I used the EPG (rocket launcher), EVA-8 Auto (Shotgun) and Arc Grenades. Use Arc Grenades to kill groups. Always do wall dashes from one wall to the next to gain speed.

Here are some more tips:

  • You have to be moving at all times.
  • When wall running always push the left stick forward (not to the side). When you push the stick to the side you may slow down and fall off the wall. This is especially true in the long corridor before the last room.
  • Start out with the rocket launcher and once it’s empty you switch to the Shotgun. This way you will never have to reload.
  • The most time can be lost in the first and last room.
  • First room: you must be wall-dashing at every opportunity. First, double jump up the wall to the left (before the starting line). From that wall jump to the right wall in the first big room. Now immediately jump dash along that wall again. Another double jump to the circular structure on the ceiling. As you jump off that circular thing throw a grenade to take out all 3 enemies, then another jump to the wall on the right (hold the stick to the far right to “aim” where you want to dash). As you fall down that wall shoot the rocket launcher underneath the opening in the path, to take out one of the enemies before you have to slide under it.
  • Last room: you must perform a tricky jump here. As you run along the right wall you must jump off and during your jump shoot the first enemy target. Now immediately jump-dash onto the right wall. As you run along that wall shoot the last target. What I did was to go back and forth the area without finishing the parkour and I just practiced this one jump for 30 minutes until I was sure I could do it.

Kill all enemies as quickly as possible. Run up to the enemies so they focus their fire on you and not your allies. This is best done on easy difficulty.

When you select Mission 5, Chapter 2 in mission select you will start at the spot from the video and won’t have to replay the entire mission.

Coup de Grace
Destroy a Mercenary Titan with a melee execution in the Campaign

Mission 9: The Fold Weapon (Slone Boss Fight)
You can do this against the final boss called “Slone”. This doesn’t work on normal titans.
Damage Slone until her health is nearly depleted. Then run up to her and perform a melee attack (when the yellow health bar starts to show). This will result in a special takedown animation.

It can only be done against certain bosses. On some bosses it doesn’t work because they explode instantly and you can’t melee them.

Hat Trick
Destroy 3 enemy Titans with 1 Core ability in the Campaign

Mission 4: Into the Abyss (chapter 1)
After you encounter the first Titans in this mission, a gate will open up and 3 Titans spawn (this is 2-3 minutes into the mission).
Damage them until they have very little health left. Damaging them automatically powers up your core abilities.

Use the Burst Core (Expedition Loadout) to kill them quickly. The important part is that you damage them so much that they will die in 1-2 hits. The burst core doesn’t stay active for long.
You can restart the checkpoint if you need to try again.

Annihilation
Kill 25 infantry in 2 seconds as a Titan in the Campaign

Mission 9: The Fold Weapon
During this mission you will get a new Titan that comes with a minigun. It has an ability called “Smart Core” which automatically targets enemies. It also shows you the amount of enemies in the current area.
After fighting a bunch of Titans you will go through a tunnel with 30+ enemies. Wait for them to group up and then use the Smart Core. This should very easily get you 25+ kills in 2 seconds. Just stay at the opposite end of the tunnel so all enemies will be in your line of sight.

You can restart the checkpoint to try again.

You can be my Wingman anytime
Destroy an enemy Titan as a Pilot in the Campaign

Mission 3: Blood and Rust
At the very start of this mission you will encounter some enemy titans. Exit your own titan (press square-button) and simply jump on top of an enemy titan. Do it once to get the “Cowboy Up” trophy and do it a few times to destroy the titan for “You can be my Wingman anytime”.

I know Kung Fu
Shoot and kill 3 enemies in a row while wallrunning as a Pilot in the Campaign

Mission 9: The Fold Weapon
At the very start of the mission you will obtain a pistol with auto-aim during a cutscene (unmissable). It kills all enemies in one hit and has 100% accuracy!
You can do the trophy on the first group of enemies in this mission. Do a wall run and just keep shooting when the enemies are in your line of sight. Very easy in this mission.

Power Slide
Shoot and kill 3 enemies in a row while sliding as a Pilot in the Campaign
Just like “I Know Kung Fu” this can be done in Mission 9: The Fold Weapon. Your starting weapon has auto-aim and kills everyone in one shot. Do it against the first group of enemies, 3 of them will spawn close together. Hold circle-button to slide.
Cowboy Up
Rodeo an enemy Titan in the Campaign

Mission 3: Blood and Rust
At the very start of this mission you will encounter some enemy titans. Exit your own titan (press square-button) and simply jump on top of an enemy titan. Do it once to get the “Cowboy Up” trophy and do it a few times to destroy the titan for “You can be my Wingman anytime”.

Apex Predator
Perform a melee takedown while cloaked in the Campaign
While on foot you can cloak yourself by pressing L1. Then sneak up to an enemy and press R3 for a melee takedown. You can do this during Mission 2: BT7274.
Robot Army
Acquire 6 or more friendly Stalkers at the same time in the Campaign

Mission 6: The Beacon (Chapter 3)
This can be done near the end of “The Beacon” mission, during the main objective “Get a working module from the dish”.
There are some green wall panels that you can shoot with the Arc weapon. This will activate nearby robots, also called stalkers. There are 3 wall panels and each one unlocks 2 robots. They will follow you around and protect you.

If you’ve already beaten the mission you can jump to this section in mission select (chapter 3 of mission 6).

Certified Pilot
Complete the Campaign on Regular
See “Legendary Pilot” trophy.

When you beat the game on Master you unlock all the other difficulty-related trophies (for regular & hard), too.

Renowned Pilot
Complete the Campaign on Hard
See “Legendary Pilot” trophy.

When you beat the game on Master you unlock all the other difficulty-related trophies (for regular & hard), too.

Legendary Pilot
Complete the Campaign on Master
Master difficulty is the highest difficulty in the game and it’s unlocked from the beginning. It’s not too horribly difficult. If you want to do this on your first playthrough you must pause the game after the first cutscene / loading screen and change the difficulty to “Master” in the game options. Then beat all 9 missions on that difficulty.

There are a bunch of hard sections, but it’s totally doable. Some of the boss fights and encounters with other Titans can be a bit tricky. Just stay back, evade the core attacks from enemy titans and make good use of your own core abilities. You can usually dash to the side or use your shield ability to get out of harms way. Also hide behind structures so you can’t get attacked by multiple enemies at once. The infantry enemies while on foot shouldn’t give you too much trouble. Either stay behind cover and take them out one by one, or use invisibility (press L1) and wallrun past them to quickly reach the next checkpoint.

You can also do this via mission select. It will show a checkmark on all missions that have been completed on Master. There are reports of it not unlocking via mission select. If that happens, try replaying the last mission. Also replay the first training mission (The Pilot’s Gauntlet) and set the difficulty to Master via the game options after the first cutscene. It’s safer to do in a completely new playthrough to avoid any glitches.

My preferred tactics:

On foot: Activate invisibility and wallrun past all enemies. You can skip 90% of the enemies in the game. This is a lot faster than fighting everyone.

In Titan: Use the Tone Titan class and cast the shield with L1. You can shoot through the shield but enemies cannot. When your shield is depleted go back into cover and wait for it to recharge and repeat. Remember to dash away when your shield is down. When your yellow health bar shows you can pick up one battery and the health bar will fully recharge. This is better than picking up batteries right away because you can restore a full yellow health bar with only one battery (normally you’d only get one health bar segment). So save all green batteries until your health turns yellow and quickly dash to pick them up. The Expedition class is also good for dealing lots of damage (zoom is using L2 to shoot enemies for more accuracy). For all the boss fights I used the Tone class, casted my shield, attacked the enemy, waited for shield to reacharge and repeated the process.

When you beat the game on Master you unlock all the other difficulty-related trophies (for regular & hard).

Jack of All Trades
Collect all of BT’s loadouts in the Campaign
BT’s loadouts are basically the Titan classes. There are 8 of them in total. Over the course of the story you will run into large blue guns (always in the sections where your Titan is with you). These would be very hard to miss. Not only are they in plain sight, but you will actually have to walk over them to progress further, so they appear to be unmissable for the most part.

Here is an overview of where you get all 8:

  1. Expedition: Your starting loadout, you have it automatically when you enter the titan for the first time in mission 2.
  2. Tone: At the start of Mission 3: Blood and Rust. After clearing the first area of enemies you will go into the sewers. Here you will walk right into this gun, seems unmissable.
  3. Scorch: At the start of Mission 4: Into the Abyss. After dropping down into the pool of water you will have to go up a hill and walk right into it, seems unmissable.
  4. Brute: A few minutes into Mission 4: Into the Abyss. A gate will open up and 3 titans spawn behind it. After defeating them you’ll walk right into it. It’s on a huge gun rack in the area with the landing pad.
  5. Ion: At the end of Mission 5: Effect and Cause. This could potentially be missed. After fighting a bunch of titans in the outside area you go into another building where you must hack a console with your knife. In that some room, on the wall, is the loadout. You must time travel to the past to see it.
  6. Ronin: Start of Mission 6: The Beacon. In front of the poison clouds, where you have to enter your titan to proceed. Seems unmissable.
  7. Northstar: A few minutes into Mission 7: Trial by Fire. After going up the elevator you will walk right through it, unmissable.
  8. Legion: This is the starting loadout of your new titan in Mission 9: The Fold Weapon. Unmissable, you’ll have it equipped when entering your titan in this mission.
Off the Beaten Path
Find 10 Collectibles
See trophy “Every Nook and Cranny”.
Collector
Find 25 Collectibles
See trophy “Every Nook and Cranny”.
Every Nook and Cranny
Find All Collectibles
Titanfall 2 has 46 Collectible Locations. Finding all unlocks the “Every Nook and Cranny” Trophy.

In Mission select you can see how many Collectibles you have found. Additionally, you can pause the game anytime and see a little collectible tracker in the bottom right. They all look like glowing Pilot Helmets and you must pick them up while on foot (not in your Titan). Once you find them they are saved instantly. You can quit out to the main menu immediately without losing any progress and you don’t have to get them again if you die.
None of the Pilot Helmets are missable, they can be collected via mission select at any time.

There are 11 missions and they all contain at least one collectible.
You also get the trophies “Off the Beaten Path” for finding 10 Collectibles and “Collector” for finding 25 Collectibles.

For a full breakdown of how many there are per mission please refer to the Titanfall 2 Collectible Guide.

So It Begins…
Win a multiplayer match
Simply win one match in multiplayer (any game mode).

In the multiplayer starting screen click on “Customize” and change a weapon in one of the presets.
Free Association
Join a multiplayer network
In the multiplayer starting screen click on “Join Network” under the “Play” menu. Now click browse networks and choose any one of them. After joining a network you must play one match for the trophy to unlock. There are reports of it not unlocking after the first match. If that happens keep playing a few more matches and make sure you are in the match from the beginning (personally, I had won the match when the trophy popped).

Ok its true sorry, this trophy is very difficult have you tips for me ? And the trophy is doable with just the shotgun ? How to keep the speed on the walls ? Thanks for your help and your guides its a good work. Im french and i prefer your guides which are very detailed.

Yes you can do it with Shotgun and Grenades only. The rocket launcher makes it a little bit easier.
To keep up speed jump from wall to wall very quickly. Each wall jump increases your speed. Always push the left stick forward, never to the side. If you hold it to the side you will slow down and fall off the wall. Do wall jumps as often as you possibly can.

Dude are you for real? Even if he could or would why would you ask the man that?

My belief is that if you can’t do a trophy, you don’t really deserve it. I gave up on the Mafia 3 5 headshot in a row trophy as I tried for hours and it annoyed me, but wanted to play other games. As this is from a complete trophy whore, I have 156 plats, lol.

I don’t even really believe in boosting unless it’s impossible to do without, i.e. No player base on multiplayer trophies for older games.

Hi, PowerPC thanks for the amazing guide as usual.

Dunno if it’s worth mentioning but I’ve noticed it can take sometimes upto around a minute for a trophy to pop, so don’t panic if it doesn’t pop automatically.

    Thx again powerpyx.

Top 3 is impossible without learning every possible pixel and execute run perfectly or simply cheating. I saw some guys on youtube who had constant 50 kph, despite normally you get something between 22-40. If my guy moved that fast then it’s easy.
