White Shadows Trophy Guide & Roadmap

To avoid getting caught inside the Coocoo House, you need to use whichever environmental aid you have to hide from the spotlights in the background. With patience and timing, this trophy is not too bad. Here’s a list of the suggested strategy for each of the spotlight found on your path:

1. Take advantage of the moving ravens by mimicking their walking speed.
2. Stay within the cart’s shadow (if you hide behind the cart itself, you’ll get spotted).

4. Wait for the spotlight to move to the right.
5. Wait behind the metal sheets while climbing down the stairs. You can move ONLY when the spotlight goes back to its starting position, and NOT when the it makes it past the sheets. After dropping down, hide among the ravens and then when the spotlight starts moving again to the back of the area, budge the dead raven stuck inside the pipe to make it across safely.
6. Stay behind the egg cart shadows for the entirety of this section.

After getting past the second stack of crates and reaching for the stairs, this trophy unlocks.

After obtaining the battery that you use as a ladder to reach the next area at the beginning of Checkpoint 9, you’ll land in an area where tons of chicks will start clinging to you. Stand still for just a couple of seconds to have 20 of them glue to you and unlock this trophy.

1. Being hit by the crane at the very start of the game (Checkpoint 1).
2. Death by falling (anywhere you’re supposed to jump over a gap)
3. Death by fall damage (anywhere you’re supposed to jump on a lower ledge)
4. Crushed by a door (when you need to raise the door with the pig wallpaper in Checkpoint 1)
5. Being hit by the gondola with the lightning bolt sign after meeting the first chick (Checkpoint 2)
6. Crushed by trains (after riding the Youglow cable cars and while climbing down the stairs in Checkpoint 3)
7. Impaled by closing doors with spikes (after the animal heads puzzle where you’re supposed to climb your way up and then down past these traps in Checkpoint 5).
8. Spotted by spotlights (Checkpoint 7)
9. Hit by the spotlight gun (Checkpoint 9)
10. Crushed by munchers (Checkpoint 9)
11. During the fight against the mechanical wolf (Checkpoint 12). The possible deaths here are: spiked wheels, being hand-crushed and fire.
12. During the Tintown Trials (Checkpoint 14 and 15). Try getting killed by all swing types (wolf head, horizontal and vertical swings, hammer and drum swings).
13. While playing as a chick (Checkpoint 16). After sliding down with the other chicks, go left instead of right and kill yourself in the muncher.
14. While playing as a chick (Checkpoint 16). Stomped on by feet.

NOTE: if you’ve died in all possible ways before game version 1.03, the trophy / achievement won’t unlock retroactively. You have to die in all possible ways again using the Checkpoint Selection menu.

During Checkpoint 4, you’ll have to solve a puzzle featuring 4 different animal heads impaled on a rotating platform. After powering up the puzzle at the ground floor (accessible through the hatch at the start of the area), make your way back up and interact with the two levers. The left lever selects which ring is going to stop or move whereas the right lever moves or stops the selected ring. The goal here is to align all heads. When they are, the platform will automatically rotate to face the cage. Then, place the chick behind you on the floor switch near the cage and interact with the ground lever. When the last hammer is being swung, you will unlock this trophy. Now you can reload the Checkpoint and take care of the other trophy you can snag with this puzzle Yes, I deserve it!

During Checkpoint 4, you’ll have to solve a puzzle featuring 4 different animal heads impaled on a rotating platform. After powering up the puzzle at the ground floor, make your way back up and interact with the two levers. The left lever selects which ring is going to stop or move whereas the right lever moves or stops the selected ring. The goal here is to align all heads. When they are, the platform will automatically rotate to face the cage. Then, interact with the ground lever. While all hammers are being swung, go place yourself on the floor switch near the cage. Then after all hammers are swung, you will unlock this trophy. Now you can reload the Checkpoint and take care of the other trophy you can snag with this puzzle For the greater good.

For this trophy you are supposed to defeat the giant wolf-headed, mechanically-armed robot at the start of Funworld. This trophy can glitch in your favor as it could unlock at the start of the chapter instead.

During Checkpoint 6, you will have to board different trains as part of a moving platforming sequence. To avoid dying, you have to board the train any time you see a new one, jump over the neon lights and crouch whenever you see metal sheets that would otherwise crush you. This trophy will unlock when the giant wolf contraption eats you.

During Checkpoint 9, you’ll have to make it down a long slide to access a new area with a neon sign saying Battery Maker 2000. To unlock this trophy, you want to first lure as many chicks as possible to the very far left of this area, by the wall. Once they are in a small bundle, make it back to the lever that’s between the two lamp platforms. Pull it when ALL chicks are on the left platform. This requires a bit of timing because all chicks must make it inside the Battery Mater. If all lamps are on, but even one single chick is out, the trophy won’t unlock. This trophy is annoying because the timing is very tight. You can always reload the Checkpoint to try again.

This trophy is slightly luck-dependent. At some point during Checkpoint 2, a giant aircraft will be flying over you. Immediately after, you should notice a tiny chick peeping and coming out of a small hole in the ground. When you see it, stop and let it hop towards you, let it get as close to you as possible. This is pretty random and very much luck-dependent, so it could take a few tries. If the chick pulls back into its hole, step back a bit and try again. The objective here is to grab it and hold it with for a whole minute without doing anything. Once a whole minute has gone by, this trophy will unlock.

At the end of Checkpoint 9, you’ll eventually land in an area where tons of chicks will start gluing to you. When here, wait a couple of minutes until you’re completely covered in chicks. Then, continue to the left and sprint for the hook. All those chicks should end up in the muncher and the trophy unlocks.
