AI Limit Twilight Hill – Spirit Depths Walkthrough

Twilight Hill – Spirit Depths is the eight area of the game. This area includes the sixth and seventh interactions with Shirley, along with the final optional interaction with Stone. There is also a hidden path which allows you to reach the inside of the Arboretum, which you could not do while progressing through the Withered Forest area.

Twilight Hill – Spirit Depths

Before Dormant Array

NPC: Shirley – After entering the area, Shirley is at the wall along the right side. Speak with her and exhaust her dialogue. Shirley questline #6

Dormant Array

There are items to pick up down the right path after the Branch, but you can’t reach them yet due to the sentry eyes in the area that start casting a spell while they have view of you. Until you shut them off try to avoid staying in their sight line or you have a high chance of dying if they attack you. Continue along the path to the left to reach the Watch Tower and the next Branch.

Watch Tower

NPC: Stone – Stone is standing at one of the consoles in the Watch Tower, speak with him and exhaust his dialogue. Stone questline #5 (optional)

Normal Seal: Cleansing Therapy – After dropping down to the red walkway, go to the wall and then left to progress. This seal is on the ground just past the second spot you can hide from the sentry eyes.

Key Item: Soil: Twilight Hill – Continue to the next level with the three Church enemies. Go into the side room counterclockwise around the room, then pick this up in the corner. Return it to Delpha at Temporary Campsite and use Purified Soil at a Branch to increase Life Dew charges.

Normal Seal: Ethereal Tone – After going through the room where the Cleansing Knight and Panic Reaper minibosses are fighting (these enemies don’t respawn so you can watch them fight now, then finish off the one that beats the other) drop down onto the next section of red platforms. The one sticking out farther has an invisible section leading back to the tower. Ride the elevator up to the next level where you can interact with a button that turns off the eyes, along with this Seal behind it. You can walk around the outside of the tower and kick down a ladder back to the prior Branch.

Key Item: Dew Essence – Continue up the elevator to the very top of the tower where you can find a Butterfly enemy, defeat it to obtain the Dew Essence. Be careful chasing it as it will fly toward the Church enemy on the far ledge, which will start attacking you once you approach the Butterfly.

Normal Seal: Fortified Shield – Go through the door past where the enemies were located and take the elevator down. At the bottom carefully drop down the red platforms to the bottom level. At the bottom go out onto the platform close to the tower to find a Cleansing Knight miniboss, defeat it to receive this seal.

Side Area: Arboretum – Back in the hallway go left (right when facing the center of the area) to find a rift leading to Twilight Hill – Withered Forest > Arboretum. Don’t take the ramp to the right as this drops you back at the entrance to the area and you need to make your way all the way around the elevators again to reach this spot.

Normal Seal: Deviation – Follow the path after the rift and pick this up on the left before reaching the building.

Key Item: Soil: Arboretum – Continue into the building and pick this up near the Branch. Return it to Delpha at Temporary Campsite and use Purified Soil at a Branch to increase Life Dew charges. Delpha will then relocate to the Arboretum for the rest of the game. You can go speak to him now for some information or wait until you have more Soil to bring him.

You can then return to Twilight Hill – Spirit Depths > Dormant Array and take the right path this time now that the sentry eyes are disabled.

Normal Seal: Precipitation – In the room past the three Church enemies, in the corner on the right.

Spell: Spears of Punishment – Opposite side of the room in the white box.

Now teleport to Twilight Hill – Spirit Depths > Watch Tower and follow the path back to where you crossed the invisible portion of walkway, but this time continue dropping down to the next platform.

Weapon/Headwear/Armor: Stygian Touch/Corrupted Blader Visor/Corrupted Blader Armor – At the bottom level, deal with the Necro enemies along the path leading counterclockwise then pick up the purple item by the wall.

NPC: Shirley – In the hallway covered in spike traps, Shirley can be found along the wall on the right side. Speak with her and exhaust her dialogue. Shirley questline #7

Depths’ Bottom

Boss: Persephone, the Stygian Queen of Woe

Trophy/achievement The Stygian Queen of Woe

Nucleus: Persephone’s Nucleus – Obtained automatically after defeating Persephone, the Stygian Queen of Woe boss.

Spell: Minimum Pain – Obtained automatically after defeating Persephone, the Stygian Queen of Woe boss.

Playing into NG+ is required to obtain a second Nucleus to purchase both of these spells.

Spell: Scales Blast – Purchase from Millaire for Persephone’s Nucleus + 8000 Crystals

Spell: Etheral Beam – Purchase from Millaire for Persephone’s Nucleus + 10,000 Crystals

Collapsed Cavern

Normal Seal: Everlasting Piercing – Speak with Katarina who is locked in the crystal beside the Branch, then kill her when she asks to obtain the Normal Seal.
