Dead or Alive 6 Trophy Guide

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10 if you played DOA5, 4-5/10 if you didn’t
  • Approximate amount of time to platinum: 15-20 Hours
  • Offline Trophies: 28 (2trophy, 6trophy, 20trophy)
  • Online Trophies: 8 (1trophy, 3trophy, 2trophy, 2trophy)
  • Number of missable trophies: 0
  • Glitched trophies: Nothing Yet
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: No
  • Minimum Playthroughs: Some Combo Challenges, some missions in DOA Quest Mode

Introduction

Welcome to Dead or Alive 6 Trophy Guide! The newest entry in the Dead or Alive series, which is known for Core Values. The game plays very similar to DoA5 with a few new mechanics. The game is easy to pick up and hard to master, you won’t need to master the game luckily. Trophy difficulty is very similar to DoA5 Ultimate and DoA5 Last Round. Very easy compared to the original DoA5. The online trophies are harder than previous games though, since you will have to do them in ranked mode and win 50 games in total, with winning 5 times in a row as well.

Step 1: Finish Command Training, Combo Challenges and DOA Quest

You should start the game by choosing a character you want to play and head to the command training with this character. This mode will grant you a trophy and teach you the inputs for your character’s moves. Once you know how to handle the character you head to Combo Challenge mode and finish the trials. There are easier and harder characters in Combo Challenge and the easiest will point it out under trophy Unchallenged Champion.

Once done get rid of DOA Quest. Getting 100 Stars is way easier than it sounds since you only need to get 100 out of almost 300 stars. You can get 3 stars in each mission and the star-requirements vary with each mission. Sometimes you will have to land certain moves or do enough damage in a combo, but trust me – it will be no problem. I actually managed to get all 3 stars in each mission I played and got the trophy by playing only a third of all the available missions.

Step 2: With enough training head online

If you feel strong enough with your character head online and tackle the multiplayer trophies. You will basically have to win 50% of your games and win 5 times in a row. With enough training this should be doable. If you haven’t gotten them, get rid of all the combat based trophies at the end.

Luckily all the online trophies can be boosted easily. Refer to trophy The Show-off on how boosting works.

DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Master
Unlocked all trophies.
Unlock all other trophies to earn platinum (DLC not required).
Fighting Entertainment
Fought debut match (excluding training and offline player vs. player matches).
Simply fight a match. It doesn’t matter in which mode as long as it’s not 2 player versus match.
Change!
Changed your Main Fighter.
Go the the wardrobe and press :square: to pick a fighter as your main.
Fledgling Fighter
Fought against computer in the VERSUS mode.
Simply go to VERSUS and fight against the AI once.
Cleared ARCADE course
Cleared a course in the ARCADE mode.
Head to FIGHT – ARCADE and finish one of the arcade runs, you can choose the lowest difficulty.
Cleared TIME ATTACK course
Cleared a course in the TIME ATTACK mode.
Head to FIGHT – TIME ATTACK and finish one of the time attack runs, you can choose the lowest difficulty.
Cleared SURVIVAL course
Cleared a course in the SURVIVAL mode.
Head to FIGHT – SURVIVAL and finish one of the survival runs, you can choose the lowest difficulty.
Training Hard
Used Free Training mode for 1 hour.
You will not have to play for 1 hour in one sitting, the time adds up. The trophy will, however, only unlock once you leave the training mode after reaching 60 minutes.
Exercise Newbie
Completed Command Training for a single character.
Head to TRAINING – COMMAND TRAINING and finish one of the characters. This mode will teach you all the moves your character has.
DOA Rookie
Attempted Tutorial.
Head to TRAINING – TUTORIAL and the trophy will unlock when starting it.
A Fighter is Born
Completed all lessons in Tutorial.
Head to TRAINING – TUTORIAL and finish all the tasks there. The tutorial is pretty complex for a fighting game tutorial and teach you basically everything from simple moves to frame traps etc.
A New Challenger Appears!
Attempted Combo Challenges.
See Unchallenged Champion just below.
Unchallenged Champion
Completed all Combo Challenge lessons for a single character.
You will have to finish all the Combo Challenges for a single fighter. The difficulty varies between the fighters and some are way harder than the others. If you only want the trophy and the least amount of struggle, I would suggest going for Honoka or Nico since they are pretty easy. Stay away from Eliot and Raidou, their challenges are way more complex.
Adept Shopper
Bought a costume in the Wardrobe.
In order to unlock a costume the fastest way is to simply play DOA Quest. After each quest you will unlock costume parts for certain costumes. When you see that a costume has all parts unlocked, head to DOA CENTRAL – WARDROBE and buy it with the in-game currency.
Wise Manners
Bought a title in the Wardrobe.
Simply head to DOA CENTRAL and buy a title from the wardrobe.
Records Keeper
Checked the Fight Records.
Head to DOA CENTRAL – DATABASE, that’s it.
The Observer
Watched a COM vs. COM battle in the Theater.
Head to DOA CENTRAL – THEATER and watch a fight in spectator mode between 2 AI controlled fighters. Be sure to pay attention to the core values while doing this.
Learning From the Past
Watched a replay in the Theater.
After each fight you get the option to save the replay. Once you did that, head to the theater and watch it.
Melomaniac
Purchased additional BGM.
Just as costumes Music will be unlocked by playing DOA QUEST. Once finished with the quests head to the DOA CENTRAL – MUSIC and buy a track you unlocked.
DOApedia
Purchased DOA Encyclopedia in the Library.
Self-explanatory.
Star Catcher
Collected one ☆ during a quest.
See Milky Way just below.
Star dust
Received 10 ☆ in DOA QUEST mode.
See Milky Way just below.
Milky Way
Received 100 ☆ in DOA QUEST mode.
DOA QUEST is a new mode in the game. You will have to use specific fighters in a fight or a series of fights and fulfill specific tasks to unlock the stars, like hitting an opponent with a certain move or dealing a certain amount of damage up to simply finishing a quest. You will have to unlock 100/288 stars. You can get a total of 3 Stars in each of the 96 mission, but believe me when I tell you that you won’t struggle with it. You can easily unlock 3 stars in each of the first 30 missions and even if you don’t, you will still have a lot of missions to choose from.
Rival Rumble
Fought in your first ranked match.
See The Show-off.
Rival Rampage
Fought in 10 ranked matches.
See The Show-off.
Rival Deathmatch
Fought in 100 ranked matches.
See The Show-off.
Fighting For Real
Won 1 Ranked Match.
See The Show-off.
The Hungry One
Won 20 Ranked Matches.
See The Show-off.
The Capable One
Won 50 Ranked Matches.
See The Show-off.
The Show-off
Won 5 consecutive Ranked Matches.
You will have to play 100 matches in ranked, win 50 of them and win 5 fights in a row. You can actually boost it if you want – communication is the key. Have a friend on a headset and search at the same time, when you both find a fight accept and if you don’t, then simply decline the fight. It might take some time to find each other sometimes though. After having a 5 win streak done and if you want to keep boosing, it is always the best to have the fight end 2-1 for someone. You will get 3 fights and 2 wins this way and your friend 3 fights and 1 win. Just keep switching winners.
A Fight to Remember
Saved a replay.
After each fight you will have the chance to save the replay, do so to unlock the trophy.
Rushing It
Won a match by executing a Fatal Rush attack (excluding offline PvP matches).
A Fatal Rush is performed by pressing :r1: multiple times. Your character will start a sort of flashy looking auto combo. You can get it easily against a level 1 difficulty AI in versus mode.
Smashing It
Won a match by executing a Break Blow attack (excluding offline PvP matches).
A Break Blow is performed by pressing forward + :r1: when your bar next to your health is full. You can get it easily against a level 1 difficulty AI in versus mode.
Grabbing It
Won a match by executing a Break Hold attack (excluding offline PvP matches).
A Fatal Rush is performed by pressing back + :r1: when getting hit and having at least 50% of the bar next to your health. You can get it against the AI easily, but better not to try it against a level 1 AI, since it won’t feel like attacking you much. Better to be done against a level 3 or higher AI or against a friend online.
No Escape!
Won a match by executing 3-hit combo after canceling a Break Blow (excluding offline PvP matches).
With a full bar press forward + :r1: and then immediately press the hold button :square: to cancel it. When canceled simply hit your opponent with any 3-hit combo to KO him.
I See Through It All
Won a match receiving 0 damage (offline player vs. player matches excluded).
Self-explanatory – get a perfect win. You can get it very easily against a level 1 AI in versus mode and health set to lowest.

The 5 ranked trophy makes me go insane, as I get to 4 wins again and again, just to get knocked down again.

i think Change! trophy is glitched, from what i understand is you have to change your character in ranked mode by pressing triangle and selecting someone > press square to change? if so its glitched

Try going into DOA Central and changing your main fighter there, that’s how I got the Achievement/Trophy.

    “Change!” won’t unlock for me?

I’ve changed my character several times at the online/ranked screen and nothing. Glitched or am I missing something?

The description for Change! is wrong.

    – Go to Wardrobe in DOA Central
    – Select a character and slot
    – Pick any costume, hairstyle, glasses, and title available
    – Highlight the slot and press square

The trophy should pop up afterwards.

Change! isn’t changing online character. Go to DOA Central – Wardrobe and on a character press press square to Set your main fighter.

Change Throphy is not glitched. You must go in DoA Central not onlinr ranked. DoA Central – > Wardrobe -> pick a Charakter with X and than mark him as main Charakter with square. Thats it.

About the Change Trophy – this was my bad. I got the trophy days before doing the guide and simply remembered it wrong. You indeed have to go to wardrobe. Sorry to have confused you. My memory just tricked me -.-

Hi, I’m unclear on how to boost the Show-off trophy. Even if I have a friend online with me, and we both search for a match at the same time, and if we both get a fight all the screen displays is “New Challenger”, and the connection strength of the perspective apponent. So there’s no way to know beforehand who you will be fighting. So am I doing something wrong here, or is this trophy completely luck-based?

Well, obviously the game is being played by many people now since it just released. What I could imagine would work, is playing during late hours in your region with many people being asleep or simply wait a bit until the release hype dies a bit like it does with every fighting game.
