Final Fantasy XV – How to Free Roam After the Story

November 28, 2016 by PowerPyx 6 Comments

One of the big questions when starting Final Fantasy XV is Can You Free Roam After the Story?

The answer: YES, there is free roam after finishing the main story. After the credits you will be asked if you want to create a manual save game. Choose yes and create the save game.

Now when you load this save it will put you back before the final boss fight. Go to a lodging in one of the underground stations and select “Umbra” to fast travel back to Lucis and Altissia. You can finish up all side quests, do all dungeons etc. after the story. Nothing is missable! You can even fight the final boss again if you want.

In fact, certain quests are locked until you have completed the game. You will find new items, higher level quests and more difficulty moster hunts along with many other secrets.

Here are guides for some post-story activities:

Ideally you would just exit the citadel that you spawn in when you load that save, right?

Its because some hunts require some levels. But not the level of your character, but the level of you being a hunter. As you complete hunt quests, you also gain some exp for your hunting level, which means those hunts that you mentioned that cannot be accessed needs a certain hunter level. Btw, you can see your level in the top right of the screen when you’re choosing for the hunt quests

So literally you can’t play after beating the game, as the only option is to revert up to the point, before fighting main bossess! Therefore, gaining alot of levels, money and equipment. Dang it, this ending is broken as hell.
