AI Limit has a total of 5 Iridescence that you can collect throughout the game. These are used to upgrade weapons to the highest level, with a maximum of 5 being obtainable per playthrough, so that is the maximum number of weapons you can fully upgrade per playthrough. Non of the Iridescence are missable and can still be obtained after defeating the final boss if you choose not to go into New Game+.
Obtaining at least 1 Iridescence is required for the trophy/achievement 
Weaponsmith – enhance any weapon to the maximum level.

Below are listed in the order they can be obtained as you progress through game.
Iridescence #1 – Branch: Outer-Wall Ruins – Ancient Machine Works > Assembly Hall
To reach this Iridescence you must first destroy the large robot laser shooting robot in the area by destroying the 4 red and silver pipes. There is one path each on the left and right side paths when going up to the next level, one at the back of the room directly behind the robot where you go to progress, and the final on up the ladder beside the robot and on the upper catwalk. Once this is done, you can go to the front of the room and climb down into the area where it was previously spraying fire. The item is at the back of the area near the wall.
Iridescence #2 – After defeating the main story boss Eunomia, the Resplendent Bishop you can return to Assis at the Temporary Campsite and purchase one from him for 15,000 Crystals (once per playthrough).
Iridescence #3 – Branch: Hagios Patir – Upper Level > Faultage Corridor
Take the shortcut elevator leading to Evolving Palace Branch up and jump on the platform halfway down the elevator shaft. Follow the path through the enemies until you reach an area with a big mural, this is in the box to the left.
Iridescence #4 – Obtained automatically after defeating the Seraphim Absolver main story boss at the end of Branch Hagios Patir – Upper Level > Evolving Palace.
Iridescence #5 – Branch: The Sphere – Elysium > Celestial Tree Garden
At the fountain take the first left path toward the gazebo and pick this up from the middle.
