Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Thanator (Non-Feral) Location

December 7, 2023 by PowerPyx 6 Comments

Thanator (Non-Feral) is a panther-like animal in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. It looks like a black cat. Defeating a Non-Feral (free-roaming) Thanator unlocks the “No Easy Prey” trophy & achievement. The ones encountered during quests are considered feral and don’t count. The Non-Feral version also drops rare crafting materials.

Thanator (Non-Feral) Location

Thanator (Non-Feral) is found in Kinglor Forest > Gossamer Lakes:

Enter this area and the corners of the screen will turn white. You will start to hear a heartbeat. Walk around the area in the direction where the heartbeat gets louder. The louder the heartbeat gets, the closer you are to the Thanator. When you get close enough he will attack you. It’s a level 20 animal. You should be at least Level 16+ for this and play on easy difficulty. After the story you will be strong enough. The Thanator spawns here at any time during the story and still after the story.

If you are using any stealth effect, especially the one that gives you the “Masked Scent” effect, you won’t get stalked even if you run around.

They respawn 24H in-game time. I did an experiment and used the pass time camp thingy and after a night I went back to the area and I was already being stalked. Well I only did it with the White Moss Thanator tho.
