Coast Guardian is a Side Quest in Dead Island 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Coast Guardian side mission.

Counts Towards Side Quest Completion in Region: Venice Beach
Quest Giver: Burt
Requirement: Having Finished Main Quest #24: Hollywood Ending
Reward: 3000XP, $300
Mission Info: Burt, still the hero lifeguard of Venice Beach in his own mind, sent you out after a group of survivors. YOu searched for them only to find that zombies had killed them days ago! Having been given a harsh dose of reality, a chastened Burt promised to retreat somewhere safe.
Objectives:
- Wipe out the zombies surrounding the lifeguard hut!
- Check on the survivor in the lifeguard hut
- Reassure the lifeguard
- Search for Burt’s survivors near the police station
- Burt’s survivors might be hiding. Clear the area of threats!
- Search for Burt’s survivors on the boardwalk
- Kill the zombies at the Venice Kitchen!
- Free the trapped survivors from the Venice Kitchen
- An ambush! Kill ’em all!
- They’ve been dead for days! Get answers from Burt
- Wipe out the zombies and save Burt again!
- Confront Burt
- Take Burt’s confession
Starting Location: Coast Guardian
Wipe out the zombies surrounding the lifeguard hut!
Simply kill all zombies in the area.
Check on the survivor in the lifeguard hut
Once you killed all zombies, enter the hut.
Reassure the lifeguard
Inside the hut talk to the lifeguard.
Search for Burt’s survivors near the police station
After talking to Burt, go to the police station nearby.
Burt’s survivors might be hiding. Clear the area of threats!
Just kill all zombies in front of the police station.
Search for Burt’s survivors on the boardwalk
After killing all zombies in front of the police station, go to the boardwalk nearby.
Kill the zombies at the Venice Kitchen!
Again kill all zombies in the area.
Free the trapped survivors from the Venice Kitchen
After killing all zombies just open the garage.
An ambush! Kill ’em all!
Some new zombies will appear, kill them all.
They’ve been dead for days! Get answers from Burt
After killing all zombies, go back to Burt.
Wipe out the zombies and save Burt again!
Kill all zombies around the area.
Confront Burt
Enter the hut after killing the zombies.
Take Burt’s confession
Just talk to Burt.
This finishes Coast Guardian Side Quest in Dead Island 2.
