Down the Rabbit Hole is the 55th main story quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI), and a subquest of Things Fall Apart. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Down the Rabbit Hole main scenario chapter.
- Starting Location: The Dalimil Inn, Dhalmekia
- Requirement: Occurs during Things Fall Apart
- Reward: 400 XP, 500 AP, 1000 Gil, 45 Renown, 50 Sharp Fang, 50 Steelsilk, 50 Bloody Hide
- Quest Info: A recent raid on Dalimil by desert bandits has the town’s residents at odds with how they should deal with future threats. Tensions are hot and L’ubor’s patience is wearing thin, so he taps Clive for a solution.
The people of Dalimil put aside their differences and come together to repel a second raid by the desert bandits – the newly-formed town guard fending off invaders from the south, while Clive and Jill handle those from the north – their victory further strengthening the town.
Objectives:
- Visit the Final Sting
- Speak with Viktor
- Speak with L’ubor
- Help recruit Konrad to L’ubor’s cause
- Help recruit Natalie to L’ubor’s cause
- Speak with Viktor
- Protect the north gate from bandits
- Slay the bandits
Visit the Final Sting
L’ubor needs assistance convincing the townspeople to band together. First, inside the inn to speak with Konrad and Natalie.
Speak with Viktor
After they leave, speak with Viktor who is waiting inside.
Speak with L’ubor
Head back outside and update L’ubor on what has happened.
Help recruit Konrad to L’ubor’s cause
You need to speak with Konrad and Natalie again to try and convince them to work together. Konrad can be found nearby just outside the buildings speaking with Viktor.
Help recruit Natalie to L’ubor’s cause
Head back into the city and down the path to the south. Natalie can be found in the bathhouse area speaking with L’ubor.
Speak with Viktor
After speaking with both of them, head back to The Briar’s Kiss and speak with Viktor again.
Protect the north gate from bandits
Head out the north gate of the area to help defend the city.
Slay the bandits
A few waves of bandits will now appear to attack you. In the third wave there will be a Stone Headsman enemy as well. Deal with all waves to complete the subquest.
