Letting Off Steam II is the 46th main story quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI), and a subquest of Out of the Shadow. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Letting Off Steam II main scenario chapter.
- Starting Location: The Hideaway
- Requirement: Occurs during Out of the Shadow
- Reward: 600 XP, 40 Renown, Accessory: The Eye of the Warrior, 1 Meteorite
- Quest Info: Mid’s Enterprise wants for a thermal displacement stack, but she is struggling to realize the designs. She asks for Clive’s assistance in obtaining a section of Fallen ceramics to repurpose as the apparatus’s helm.
With a little help from Mid’s long-suffering assistant Helena, Clive succeeds in securing the site of the Fallen ruin from which the thermal helm might be salvaged.
Objectives:
- Make for Laubert’s Pass
- Slay the creature that has taken up residence in the ruins
- Slay the ahriman
Make for Laubert’s Pass
You’ll now need to warp to Lostwing to make your way to Laubert’s Pass. This is the location you walked through earlier in the game when going to Caer Norvent.
When you arrive, speak with Helena standing beside the path.
Slay the creature that has taken up residence in the ruins
Head over towards the fallen ruin nearby.
Slay the ahriman
You’ll now need to deal with an Ahriman. If you fought the one for the initial Notorious Hunt earlier, this one is effectively the exact same. Slay it to complete this subquest.
