This guide shows how to solve the Drill Core Sample Puzzle in Case 3.2 of Gotham Knights to complete the objectives “Find the Excavator Research” & “Extract a viable sample”. As part of the main story you will go to a mine. There you must scan 3 mining samples, then interact with a lab to analyze the samples.
Case 3.2 – Where to Find the Excavator Research
We must scan the 3 excavator research samples. The first is on the wall with many drill holes in it:
The second is upstairs, on the left table.
The third is also upstairs, on the right table.
How to Extract a Viable Sample
Leave the mine and enter the lab. Here, interact with the lab table to start the puzzle. You have to pan all the way to the left to see the test tubes. The two correct clues are: Orange Test Tub (2nd from Left) + core sample 10588-COS (the greenish one). As usual, press Square (PlayStation) / X (Xbox) to connect the two clues, then confirm with Triangle (PlayStation) / Y (Xbox).
