Indiana Jones and the Great Circle The Serpent’s Chest Walkthrough

June 26, 2025 by Jack McBastard Leave a Comment

The Serpent’s Chest is a side quest in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Serpent’s Chest side mission.

  • Starting Location: Sukhothai / Voss’s Camp
  • Requirement: Find Voss’s Letter
  • Reward: 250 AP
  • Quest Description: Voss has brought with him a curious snake-ornamented chest from the Gizeh. This chest can only be unlocked using three ancient keys hidden in three different locations around the world: The Vatican, Gizeh, and Shanghai.

Find the Ancient Keys (3)

There are three ancient keys to open the Serpent’s Chest, which can be recovered in any order.

First we’ll go to the Vatican. Go to the Travels tab, select the Vatican and hit :square: / :x1: to revisit it. Head to the Excavation Site, and go down into the Underworld. When you reach the bulldozer, go to the end of the hall and turn left into the watery area. Follow the path until you reach the waypoint. Once you reach the deep flooded room at the waypoint, dive in the water and equip your rebreather. In the west wall is a hole under the water that you can swim through until you reach a beam to shift out of the way. Go through and you’ll surface in a room with the Ancient Vatican Key. Grab that and it will autosave for you, so you can fast travel immediately.

Next stop, Gizeh. Head for the Funerary Temple Dig, and go down the elevator to the middle floor (press 0 button). Here your goal is the flooded room next to the generator where you electrocuted those Nazis. Swim underwater to the west side of the area, where there’s again a beam to lift. Swim through and grab the Ancient Gizeh Key. Again, autosaving will occur when you pick up the key, so you can travel right away to Shanghai.

In Shanghai, you’re heading back to the canal under the broken bridge. The passage to the key is in the southwest corner of the canal. Again, lift the beam blocking the underwater hole and go through. Pick up the Ancient Shanghai Key.

Then fast travel back to Sukhothai, and go back to Voss’s Camp to unlock the Serpent’s Chest. Insert all three keys, turn them and you will get a relic.

Ancient Relic #7: Serpent’s Chest

This finishes The Serpent’s Chest side quest in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
