Family Values is the 26th main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance (KCD). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Family Values Main Quest.
Family Values triggers immediately after completing Cold Steel, Hot Blood Main Quest.
Go quick and help defend the trebuchet!
When the quest starts, immediately run to the camp uphill and help defeat the soldiers around the trebuchet. Your allies should be able to defeat them on their own. If you’re on a no-kills run for the Merciful trophy/achievement you can help up by attacking with your bare fists (will knock enemies out but doesn’t kill them). After all enemies are dead (or knocked out) you’ll see a cutscene and get a new objective.
Join the briefing in the tent
Go into the big white tent in the trebuchet-camp. It’s marked on the map. Listen for a moment and then walk to Erik in the tent to interrogate him.
Erik has speech-level 12. You need a higher speech-level than him to be successful in the persuasions (personally, I had speech level 18 and it all worked first try). There are 4 speech dialogues in total. Be sure to exhaust all dialogue options.
Freud 
trophy/achievement: In order to get the Freud trophy or achievement, you must be successful in all 4 speech-persuasion with Erik to learn about his past.
Pick these dialogues:
- Who is this toth?
- How did you meet him?
- What are you people after?
- How many men has he got in the castle?
Freud trophy/achievement unlocked!
You also get 225 Groschen for your troubles when the interrogation is finished. After the resulting cutscene the quest ends.
This concludes the Family Values Main Quest Walkthrough. The next main quest “An Oat is an Oath” is triggered automatically after the cutscene.

they change the persuasion with erik with patch 1.3
it are now 2 speech, 1 charisma and 1 strength
and for some reason his speech is now level 23
and i can’t find a way to reach that level
i have tried the siege quest a few times

There is workaround from what i heard, try lower reputation of Rattay down to 50-67 and his stat will be come down like 12-11-11 so you can win it.

I can not persuade Erik either. I win all of the dialogue options, except for the one where you need charisma. I have 13+2 and all he got is 12. Yet, I always lose..
