Nioh 3 contains 13 Master Locations. Finding all Masters unlocks the A God Among Men trophy & achievement.
Masters are human minibosses found throughout the open world. An easy strategy to defeat them is to use summoning seals and throw Ninjutsu at them in Ninja style, or do midair jump attacks. If a fight is too difficult you can come back for it later at any time. The Masters get marked on the map automatically with a white/red “person icon”
when you find other Collectibles to reach Exploration Level 4 within a region. On the map press
to view the collectible tracker for each region. You can then put a marker on them and follow the compass to locate them easily.
Nothing is missable, all areas are still explorable after the story in free-roam and all missions are replayable through the Battle Scroll at shrines.

Master #13 – Behind a barrier of red crystals. You must shoot the red crystals with the big cannon slightly to the south that’s aimed at it. This is only possible after completing Side Mission: Beast of the Underworld. It starts in Bakumatsu > Shichijo region > Shrine: Shichijo Abyss – Stratum, talk to Thomas Glover who stands on the path through this area. You can’t miss him, he automatically talks to you and gives you this side mission. Then complete his side mission by reaching the very end of the region and defeating Kasha in a boss fight, after Shrine: Shichijo Abyss – Armory. After the boss fight, you unlock cannons in all regions.
