Pokemon Legends Z-A contains 62 Mega Stones. They are used to trigger the Mega Evolutions of specific Pokemon. First, you must unlock the ability to unlock Mega Evolutions by progressing to the 10th Main Mission. Afterward you can obtain Mega Stones in 3 ways: from quest rewards, exchanging Mega Shards to Quasartico, and buying them from the Stone Emporium with money.
After getting a Mega Stone you must equip it on the Pokemon you want to Mega evolve. Then land attacks to charge up the Mega Evolution and press the right stick to use it. The Mega Stones can be used infinitely as often as you want. However, the Mega Evolution only lasts for about a minute at a time, then it cools off but can be used again.
This guide shows how to get all Mega Stones, in chronological unlock order by unlock method. For a list of all Pokemon that can be mega evolved refer to the Legends Z-A Mega Evolution Pokedex.
