Characteristics: In ancient literature, there is a record of a Gyarados that razed a village when violence flared.
Gyarados Location in Pokemon Legends Z-A:
- Caught in Wild Zone 11 (available after Main Mission 14: Reaching Rank E). It sometimes swims in the water in the river, but won’t always be there (about 30% spawn chance). It can appear at day as well as night. Fast travel back and forth and re-enter the wild zone until it appears. Once it appears make a manual save before fighting it. Bring it below half health and keep throwing Pokeballs until you catch it. If you fail to catch it or accidentally defeat it, quit the game and reload the manual save to retry.
- Evolves from Magikarp at Level 20.
- Can be caught in the middle of Wild Zone 20 (unlocked after Main Mission 38). It can appear there as a red-eyed Alpha Pokemon, Level 64+. It has a small spawn chance, a wide variety of fully evolved Pokemon can spawn in this place. If you get another Pokemon simply fast travel back and forth. When you find it, make a manual save before fighting it. If you don’t catch it, close the game and click continue to reload the manual save and try again.
