There are 3 BSAA Containers in Resident Evil 9: Requiem. Finding and opening all BSAA Containers unlocks the Crate Expectations trophy and achievement.
All of them are found exclusively as Leon during the East Raccoon City area. They look like big blue shipping containers. First, you must advance the story until you unlock the Key Item “BSAA Container Keys”. You get this automatically during a cutscene after you insert the two batteries to open the flooded garage gate, it’s unmissable. Then you can immediately open all 3 Containers.
The 3 containers get marked on the map when near them. Everything in Resident Evil 9: Requiem is missable as there is no chapter select, but if you keep a manual save from each area you can still return everywhere.
Step 1: Obtaining BSAA Container Keys
Advance the story until you reach the Underground Parking Garage (named map area). There you find a flooded gate with a panel on the wall that requires 2 batteries. The batteries are key items you pick up automatically for story progress, one in the north-west corner of the Underground Parking Garage, and one in the Sewage Facility.
After inserting both batteries, the gate will open and you reach a street. Go left on the street to reach the entrance to Cedarbrook Apartments and you’ll automatically trigger a cutscene to receive the keys. Going there is mandatory for story progression, so it’s unmissable. Just remember to play the story until you get the BSAA Container Keys.
Step 2: Opening the 3 BSAA Containers in East Raccoon City
BSAA Container #1
At the east end of the main road between Gas Station and Cedarbrook Apartments. At the end of the road climb up behind the truck to reach the big blue container. Use the BSAA Container Keys you got from the cutscene.
BSAA Container #2
Found in Central Camp. Backtrack to Central Camp and open the big blue container in the corner next to the tent. Inside you also find the Repair Kit, which you need to repair the Broken Signal Receiver.
BSAA Container #3
On the main road between Gas Station & Central Camp, use the fuel can on the generator at the big crane. Go through the now-open gate at the generator and through the construction site until you reach a ladder that leads underground.
Follow the path through the underground, it will lead back to the start of Raccoon City. Open the container outside The Applegate Hotel. You will have walked past it earlier in the story but weren’t able to open it until obtaining the BSAA Container Keys.
