Introduction

Welcome to the Split Fiction Trophy Guide! Split Fiction was specifically designed for split-screen cooperative multiplayer, which means that it must be played with another player through either local couch co-op or online co-op. Players assume control of either Zoe or Mio, two authors who both become trapped inside their own stories. The two strangers must work together to escape and overcome numerous challenges along the way, as Mio’s science fiction story interweaves with Zoe’s fantasy story, putting both characters in grave danger.

Step 1: Complete the Story + Collectibles + Side Stories (10+ hours)

Start the game and grab every miscellaneous trophy as you play through the story. Below you can find every trophy in chronological order with chapter names. You can check which chapter/checkpoint you have unlocked by pressing :opt: / :menu: -> Chapter Select.

Under Options -> Accessibility you can activate “Allow Skipping to Next Checkpoint”. If you missed a trophy you can quickly replay a mission and skip through the checkpoints.

NOTE – can be completed in 1-3 hours if someone with Platinum invites you: This platinum can be obtained in under an hour if you play locally with someone who obtained the platinum. The player with platinum needs to be the host, and must put your account on the console and then use it as second player. This way you only need to finish the last checkpoint of any mission inside a chapter to get :gold: BFF’s . Also for :gold: Bookworms you only need to finish the last checkpoint of one side story and for :gold: Sisters: A Tale Of Two Besties you only need to sit on one bench. If you play online and get invited by someone with the platinum, it works a bit differently and takes 3+ hours. For :gold: BFF’s the platinum achiever can invite you to the last Mission “Final Showdown” in Chapter 8 “Split”. You can use the “Skip to next Checkpoint” option until the last cutscene starts. For the side stories you need to finish the last checkpoint of EVERY side story. You can use the “Skip to next Checkpoint” option until the last checkpoint within a side story, but you MUST play the last checkpoint normally without skipping it (must show a checkmark on side story). And you need to sit on ALL benches to get that trophy. The remaining trophies can all quickly be done by using chapter select and skipping to the correct checkpoint.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap Potion Chef
I need your strongest potions
Silver
This needs to be done in the side quest “Moon Market”, which can be found in Chapter 4 “Final Dawn” Mission “Test Chamber”. When entering the marketplace, one player can immediately turn left, and move forward to find a wand. The other player can turn right to find a stand with recipes. Look at the picture below (see player two, right side).

Now the player with the wand goes to the other player and turns him into a chair. This might take 2-3 tries. Then you need to sit on the chair to unlock :bronze: Chair the Load. Then one player needs to brew and drink every potion that is on the list. Every ingredient is there. After the last potion, you will unlock :silver: Potion Chef. It does not matter which player does what, both will get the trophies.

For this player 2 needs to complete the captcha minigame on the phone at the end of Chapter 2 “Neon Revenge” Mission “Gravity Bike”. You have one minute to get this done, and there is barely any room for mistakes as the mission will end regardless. If you fail, restart the “Gravity Bike” sub-chapter, use the accessibility option to skip through the checkpoints until you get back to the phone minigame section. If you try to “restart checkpoint” there may not be enough time left to get the minigame done.

At the very start of Chapter 3 “Hopes of Spring” Mission “Halls of Ice”, go upstairs and turn left. You will see a snowman and three snowballs next to it. Player one needs to throw all three snowballs. It does not matter in which order he throws them. After the third one, the trophy will unlock.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap Cold Potato
Complete the Gameshow without the bomb exploding
Gold

For this trophy, you need to complete the side quest “Gameshow” without failing, found in Chapter 3 “Hopes of Spring” Mission “Walking Stick of Doom”. This means both players have to catch the bomb every time it is thrown at the other player. If one player does not catch it, it will explode. If you hold the bomb for too long it will also explode. If you fail, you MUST restart the entire side story. Restarting the checkpoint does not count. The whole mission is about 3 minutes long and consists of 7 stages.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap Tazed and Confused
Adding insult to injury
Bronze
You can get this trophy at the end of Chapter 6 “Isolation” Mission “Cell Blocks”. You will reach a point, where player 1 needs to get into a little device to open a path for player 2, can’t miss it. Player one just needs to knock down player two with the long pipe.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap Locked Up
No way out
Bronze
This takes place in Chapter 6 “Isolation” Mission “Maximum Security”. Halfway through this checkpoint, you will reach this place, can’t miss it. Now one player just has to go into the cage and the other player needs to lock up the cage. It does not matter who goes into the cage.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap Huffing and Puffing
It’s not the big bad wolf you have to worry about
Silver
This trophy needs to be done inside side story “Farmlife”, which can be found in Chapter 2 “Neon Revenge” Mission “Streets of Neon”. When you start the side story, you will be in a barn. After you leave the barn you will see a big strawberry in front of you on a mountain. From here turn left as soon as you can to see a very big pig lying on the floor. Player one needs to use the fart ability to jump into the belly of the big pig. This unlocks :silver: Goin’ Whole Hog.

Continue with the side story. After the area with the big pig, you will enter another barn. Pass the second barn and the area after that and you will see a house out of stones in front of you. Player one needs to destroy the house from behind with the fart ability.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap Robot Revolution
Hasta la vista, baby
Silver
For this, you need to hit the robot inside the hotel. You will find him in Chapter 2 “Neon Revenge” Mission “Big City Life”. This is right after player 2 has to throw player 1 inside a portable toilet over the street. Enter the hotel and hit the robot with both players until the trophy pops.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap Feed Me
Take a snack
Bronze
For this trophy player one or player two have to eat a fruit from a tree. You can do this on multiple occasions throughout Chapter 5 “Rise of the Dragon Realm” but it only counts during Mission “Water Temple”. After the long boat section in this checkpoint, both players will split up. Each player has the opportunity to eat a fruit. Look at the screen to find the tree with the fruits for each player. You can’t miss them as they are on the main path. It does not matter who eats it.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap A Friendly Push

Bronze
This takes place on the very first Mission “The Underlabs” in Chapter 3 “Hopes of Spring”. Halfway through the mission, you will come across this area automatically. You will see a swing on the right side, player two needs to sit on the swing. Player one needs to get into his monster form by pressing :r2: / :rt: . Then he needs to hit player two on the swing by pressing :r2: / :rt: again.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap Rose’s Best Friend

Gold
This takes place right at the beginning of Chapter 2 “Neon Revenge” Mission “Play Me Techno”. You have to cross an area by destroying windows with an exploding ball. Before destroying the last window, player two will be under a bridge. Destroy the bridge with the ball to get :silver: Are We the Baddies?.

In the next area you reach, you will see an elephant on top of a store on the right side, player two needs to grab the foot and ear from the elephant by pressing :r2: / :rt: to get this :gold: Rose’s Best Friend.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat
Duuuun dun… duuuun dun…
Bronze
In Chapter 6 “Isolation” Mission “Hydration Facility” you will cross the sewers of the facility with player one being the boat. Halfway through this checkpoint, you will reach a new area with a waterfall on the left side. In front of it, you will see some bubbles in the water. Player one needs to swim to the bubbles, then a shark will appear which unlocks the trophy for both players.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap The Cake is Not a Lie

Gold
For this trophy, you need to find the secret area in Chapter 4 “Final Dawn” Mission “Run and Gun”. During this checkpoint, you will come across multiple purple portals. Look at the screenshots below to find the secret area. Once you reach it, instead of jumping into the portal, do a wall jump and jump against the opposite wall. The secret area will open up.

Split Fiction Trophy Guide & Roadmap Snaaaaaaaaake
Could friendship bloom on the battlefield
Gold
In Chapter 6 “Isolation” Mission “Prison Courtyard”, player one needs to guide player two through the courtyard. After player two crosses a big gap between two platforms, he will be in front of a box. Player two just needs to hide in the box and player one needs to shoot the box to unlock the trophy.

This game is so good. Had so much fun with this one and I loved that basically all the Trophies were for messing around.

GTA 6 actually has real competition from Split Fiction and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

In the chronological order, side story Mountain Hike should be done first before Robot Revolution. Because after you jump across, you can’t go back. Unless you reload the chapter.
