Introduction

Welcome to the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remaster / Remake Trophy Guide! The game is a package of 2 classic THPS games remade for PS4 / Xbox One / PC. Every single level has made a comeback! The game will be easy for some and very hard for others – all depending on the time you have spent with the series so far. For veterans the game will feel like home, for newcomers the game will be pretty overwhelming at first.

While it’s the first 2 games, the gameplay resembles the later THPS games. Manuals, Reverts – which haven’t been possible in the originals, can be used to extend combos to infinity. The game even has a tutorial this time around to make it more approachable for new players.

Step 1: Finish both Games with a 100% Completition

Each game has levels with 10 Goals and 3 competition levels. A level is always on a timer in which you have to finish as many Goals as you can. You do NOT have to finish all Goals in a single run. Use the playthrough to get used to the combo system as well. While on each level make sure to grab the hidden Alien Plushie in order to get a trophy and to unlock the Alien as a playable character.

The first game has 9 levels and the second game has 10 levels. To unlock the secret level “Skate Heaven” you must finish ALL other levels in THPS2 with 100% completion.

Step 2: Challenges + “Multiplayer” Trophies (Cleanup before the hardest Challenge)

For your next step it’s recommended getting as many Challenges done as possible. You will have to find all 50 Stat Points with at least 3 Skaters and finish all of their challenges as well. This can vary from specific combos to landing specific gaps, to winning medals in the main game etc. The Expert challenges will have you do level speedruns, getting high scores etc. Those challenges are getting harder with each tier but are still doable for everyone. You can find all of these under the “Challenges” tab in the Title Screen and Pause Menu.

Make sure to grind all the “Multiplayer” trophies as well, since you want to focus on the hard stuff from now on. “Multiplayer” in this game can be played offline locally. So there’s no need whatsoever to play online with other people. Simply go to the Title Screen, select “Multiplayer” > “Local Multiplayer” and you can do all Multiplayer trophies from there. The only thing that requires an internet connection is publishing a custom skate park for trophy “Creative”.

Step 3: Gaps & “Get-There’s”

Finding all Gaps and perfect routes for the “Get-Theres” are the hardest tasks in the game. The “Get-Theres” are Combos which have to include specific Gaps. Those are very challenging since it often means traversing the majority of the map in a single combo. Refer to trophy trophy Gap Master for Gaps and trophy Got There for the Get-Theres.

Both games have 3 competitions, simply get a medal in one of them.

Grand Tourer
Complete every goal in THPS1 Classic and gain all gold medals.
THPS1 has 9 maps. 3 of them are competitions where you can earn medals. You need a gold medal in all 3 of them. The remaining 6 maps have goals (10 goals per map). You can see a checklist of the goals in map select.

Get all 3 Gold Medals and do all 60 Goals for this trophy. You can keep track of your progress under Profile > Progression.
Back to School…. Again
Unlock School II in THPS2 Classic.
Unlocked automatically in the progression of finishing the goals in THPS2 – Level 02: The Hangar.
4 for Four
Earn any 4 Medals on competition parks in Tours.
Earn a medal in 4 out of 6 competitions in both games.

The competition maps are as follows.

THPS 2:

  • Marseille
  • Skatestreet
  • The Bullring
Mess with the Bull….
Unlock Bullring in THPS2 Classic.
Unlocked after finishing enough Goals in THPS2.
… Get the horns
Get hit by the Bull in Bullring.
Bullring is the 8th map in THPS2. A bull runs around this map. You need to jump the barricade and have it hit you to unlock the trophy.
Valhalla
Complete every goal in THPS2 Classic and gain all gold medals.
THPS2 has 10 maps. 3 of them are competitions where you can earn medals. You need a gold medal in all 3 of them. 5 maps have goals (10 goals per map). You can see a checklist of the goals in map select. The last two maps “Chopper Drop” and “Skate Heaven” have neither goals nor medals and don’t matter for this.

Get all 3 Gold Medals and do all 50 Goals for this trophy. You can keep track of your progress under Profile > Progression.
Matchup
Complete a match in multiplayer.
In the Title Screen click “Multiplayer” > “Quick Playlist / Local Multiplayer”. Can be either done offline or online.
BEEP BEEP
Get hit by a vehicle on every map that features them.
The following maps feature vehicles:

THPS1:

  • Downtown
  • Streets

THPS2:

  • School II
  • NY City
  • Philadelphia

You will see the cars driving around the streets on those maps. Simply get hit by one, then finish the level to make sure it saves.
Creator
Create a skater using the CAS system.
In the Title Screen press :r1: to open the Skater tab, then press :triangle: . At the top it will say “Custom Skaters” with a (+) sign. Click :x: there to create a new skater. The trophy will pop as soon as you click “Continue” in the next screen.
Creative
Create a new park and upload it.
*Online Trophy*

Make sure you are signed into PSN for this trophy to work.

In the Title Screen click on “Create a Park” > “Go to my Parks” > “Create a Park”.

Once the editor has loaded, click :opt: Options-Button > “Take Screenshot” > “Edit Details/Publish” > “Name” (enter anything here) > “Publish”.

Then the trophy will unlock right away.
Bought the Farm
Spend $10,000 in the Skate Shop.
In the Title Screen press 2x :r1: to get to the Skate Shop. Spend a total of $10,000 here. You will earn money for basically everything you do in the game. Don’t worry, you will get more than enough money on your way to Level 100.
Statted
Find all Stat points for any Pro Skater.
Collect 50 Stat Points for any skater in the game. You will find the Stat Points as glowing pickups scattered around the maps. The Stat Points have different locations for every skater in the game. Explore the map with your skater of choice and make sure to check the secret areas of each map as well. Do note that this has to be done with a Pro Skater, it won’t unlock the trophy with your own created Skater.
Donut Mess with a Cop
Unlock Officer Dick.
In order to unlock Officer Dick you will have to finish all the Skater-Challenge for your created Skater. See trophy trophy Creator on how to create a Skater.

Once you created your own Skater, go to Challenges > Skater Challenges > Created Skater. You can view all 24 Challenge requirements there.

The challenges want you to land a gap in all 19 maps (including Skate Heaven which requires 100% all goals in THPS2), win gold medals in competitions and a few others.
Rookie of the Year
Earn the “Rookie ” Challenge Collection.
From the Title Screen press 3x :r1: to go to Challenges, then in the bottom right it says “Challenge Collections” with 3 Tiers: Rookie, Veteran, Legend. Click on Rookie and then press :x: to view each of the Challenge requirements. They aren’t anything too difficult.
Going to the Vet
Earn the “Veteran” Challenge Collection.
From the Title Screen press 3x :r1: to go to Challenges, then in the bottom right it says “Challenge Collections” with 3 Tiers: Rookie, Veteran, Legend. Click on Veteran and then press :x: to view each of the Challenge requirements. It’s a set of a harder and grindier challenges but shouldn’t cause you any trouble. For the Speed Run challenge the best maps are Hangar, School and Warehouse.
Legen-Dairy
Earn the “Legend” Challenge Collection.
In order to unlock it you will have to finish all the Skater-Challenges for 3 Pro Skaters of your choice and a few other tasks the game asks you to do. For the skater challenges you can use the Game Mods for easier time as long as the game doesn’t mention it specifically – some challenges will state that those aren’t allowed for a challenge.

Each skater has a challenge of landing 4 specific Special Moves in a combo – for that use your own created Park. Place a floor very high in the air and place a long rail on it. With flatland combos build up your Special and use the Rail for Grind Specials needed, while dropping from the very high place you can do the Grab/Flip Specials and land on the floor with a Manual if you have to a Manual Special.

For the 10,000 Tricks trophy use a user-created skatepark with an endless grind to build up 10,000 grinds easily.
Got There
Complete all “Hard” Get-Theres.

Each of the 19 Maps has one “Hard Get-There”. You will have to do specific Gaps in a single combo. None of them are missable, you can replay levels at any time. The video above shows all 19 Hard Get Theres.

It’s highly recommended doing these in “Free Skate” mode. To enter Free Skate: from the main menu where you see THPS1 & THPS2 game select, pick the third icon “Free Skate” > Select Level > “Free Skate”.

You can see which Hard Get-Theres you finished under: Challenges > Skate Park Challenges > THPS1/2 Get-Theres.

WARNING: You are NOT allowed to turn on Mods/Cheats for the Hard Get-Theres! These would void the Hard Get-Theres. That’s what makes them so hard.
#10 Downing Street
Reach Career level 10.
See trophy “ONE HUNDRED!” below.
ONE HUNDRED!
Reach Career level 100.
This will be the last trophy you unlock in the game and the reason for the estimated time of 90+ hours for the platinum.

First, you should take care of all other trophies. By the time you’re done with that you should be level 60-70 (roughly).

After that, the “fastest” way of getting to Level 100 is by playing Single Sessions with Mods on. Play on Streets Level, Manual down the starting slope towards the room with the circular pool you can enter by jumping through the window. In there hold a lip in the bowl for about 10 seconds, do the same with a grind (10 seconds again) and then bust out a combo for about 250,000 points (with mods that shouldn’t be a problem). That way you will get about 225xp in 1,5 min.

You can also do Challenges for XP. However, there is no absolute need to do them, the above-mentioned method is easier and infinitely repeatable, whereas challenges can only be done once. You can view all Challenges from the Title Screen > 3x :r1: to open Challenges tab. There are different categories (Skater, Combo, Multiplayer, Skate Park, Create-a-Park). You can click on those to view requirements. Again, not mandatory to do the Challenges, they are “just another way” to get XP if you like to do them.
Paint the Town
Paint 100 surfaces in Graffiti across all playtime.
Go to Title Screen > Multiplayer > Local Multiplayer > 5 x :right: for “Graffiti” mode. Play the mode in Local Multiplayer and have 2nd player just idle, shouldn’t take more than 4 matches.
Horsin’ Around
Give 50 Letters in Horse.
Go to Title Screen > Multiplayer > Local Multiplayer > 6 x :right: for “Horse” mode.  Play horse in Local Multiplayer and use a 16 letter word instead of horse to fasten up the process.
Combination Blow
Land a 50,000+ point combo.
Will unlock automatically while working on all the Challenges for Level 100.
Shoot and Score
Achieve a High Score of 1,000,000+ on any classic Park.
You can simply enter a user-created map and get this trophy super easily while using an endless grind map. The trophy does not have to be done on a classic park!
High as a Kite
Land a 1,000,000+ point combo.
You can simply enter a user-created map and get this trophy super easily while using an endless grind map. The trophy does not have to be done on a classic park!
You Broke the Scoreboard
Achieve a High Score of 10,000,000+ on any classic Park.
You can simply enter a user-created map and get this trophy super easily while using an endless grind map. The trophy does not have to be done on a classic park!
Gap Master
Complete all Gap collections.

Piece by Piece
Place 500 objects in CAP.
Make sure you are signed into PSN for this trophy to work.

In the Title Screen click on “Create a Park” > “Go to my Parks” > “Create a Park”.

In Create a Park, keep spamming objects until the trophy pops.
Ouch!
Bail a 100,000+ point combo.
Should happen automatically. Combine moves until you are sure the combo is worth more than 100,000 points and fall on your face to break the combo.
Score Total
Earn 5,000,000 points in Trick Attack across all playtime.
Go to Title Screen > Multiplayer > Local Multiplayer > 1 x :right: for “Trick Attack” mode. Play Trick Attack in Local Multiplayer and keep doing combos until you reach 5 Million Points in total.
Combo Total
Earn 2,000,000 points in Combo Mambo across all playtime.
Go to Title Screen > Multiplayer > Local Multiplayer > 3 x :right: for “Combo Mambo” mode. Can be done in Local Multiplayer. You will have to reach 2 Million points combined in this mode. The game only counts your final scores of a match.
Shattered
Break 20 Panes of Glass.
Drive through glass to break it for a total of 20 times. This should come naturally on your path to Level 100.

Example of maps with glass: Streets, Mall.
Can’t Judge Me
Achieve a judge score of 99.9 on a competition run.
During a competition pull off a sick combo and do not bail. Make sure you have Gameplay Mods turned off because they disable this trophy.

  1. hey. i just get all the stat points for the trophy “Statted”, but the trophy dont appear, is there something ive missed? i find all the stat points with my main char not a pro skater!

    • I dunno why mate, I got all the stat points for tony hawk first as he’s the main person I’ve played with thought the entire game and I got the trophy when I picked up the last stat point on bullring, I wouldn’t worry too much as you’ve got to complete every challenge for 3 pro skaters and one of the challenges on every one of them is to collect all stat points anyway so there will be multiple opportunities to get it so I wouldn’t worry too much! Just a bummer it glitched for you but maybe it has to be a pro skater? That’s all I can think of it being.

    • The trophy is for a pro skater so you have to o find all of them with a pro skater of your choice.

      I had the same problem..
      you have to collect all the stats with a PRO not your custom created character.

    • Yeah this is what i encounter as well. It seems the points cannot be applied to the custom skater for the trophy to appear. The points has to be on one of the Pro skaters for the trophy to pop. Freaking sucks too, because i now have to collect all of the points again for a new Pro skater because you cannot transfer the points from 1 skater to another. This sucks.

    • You have to use a Pro Skater for the “Statted” trophy. Using a Create-a-Skater won’t give you the trophy.

    • I think it needs be a Pro Skater that you can select like Tony Hawk not a created skater for the trophy

    • Omakez – it needs to be done with a pro skater. And then 2 other times with pro skaters for one of the legendary goals. However, you haven’t wasted time as you also need to complete various challenges with your created skater.

    • Has to be a pro skater, not your created skater. Just pick any pro skater and get all their stat points now too. All levels are unlocked, so it won’t take long. 30 minutes tops.

    • It needs to be with a Pro Skater. Unfortunately, the trophy doesn’t work with your own skater.

    • Same thing happened with my created skater. I’m hoping I dont have to do it all again with a pro skater…

    • Do you have collected these with a Pro-Skater? It does not count, if you maxed out the stats of your created skater.

  3. The Create-a-Park challenge for playing a map that has over 1000 up votes is glitched I think I’ve played many maps with over 1000 up votes and still doesn’t pop.

  4. I guarantee we’ll have to complete most (if not all) of those 714 challenges… I’m level 49 and it’s currently taking me around 4000xp to level up and I swear some challenges only give like 25-50 xp.. it’s a joke!

  5. I got a combo of 1 million in the school using the mods, but the trophy didn’t pop, do the mods temporarily block trophies?

  6. Mods do turn the trophy off for the judge trophy. Tried multiple competitions while getting 99.9 and the trophy did not pop.

  8. Hi Powerpyx,

    I found out that you can still gain XP when using Game Mods. You’ll be able to score 225 XP but it looks like it maxes at 75 XP for the score and number of tricks. Also maxes at 25 XP for longest manual, grind and lip.

    Do note that the grind, manual and lip only count for a single trick so you need to drag out those tricks as long as you can

    I’m not exactly sure what is needed to max them out but it helps with the grind. Not sure if it will affect the Level 100 trophy if mods lock them out

  9. Can you use the default controls or do you have to use Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 controls for the competitions because I got all the goals and three gold medals but I’m still not getting The Grand Tourer achievement and I didn’t have any mods activated other than I changed the control settings

    • Me too… im concerned. I did enable mods at one stage… i redid the 3 comps without mods.. still didnt pop 🙁

    • I’m pretty sure you have to replay the medal competitions without mods enabled to unlock it. Had the same issue. It may also be required to achieve gold again in every level because the game tracks those in a challenge.

    • If you watch the whole credits sequence (about 5-6) mins. at the end you ‘ll see it automatically.

  13. I have done the vast majority of challenges. All gaps. Get theres hard. 100% completion. I have one trophy left reach level 100. I am currently level 70. It’s not a nice grind for sure..

  14. I added up the xp gained from every challenge and I’m at level 63 based on that I will be able to get to about level 75 if I complete every challenge so there’s gotta be more to leveling up then just doing challenges. Maybe Mulitplayer?

  15. I completed 648/686 challenges 59.700 Xp are left for me to get (plus those from 21 secrets) and i need 13k XP from level 75 to 76, so there is absolutely no way to get level 100. In Multiplayer you dont get much XP so I need to farm MP for weeks to get platinum?

    • I played 12 hours mp today and leveled from 75 to 78 and it always takes longer, i really dont know if i will keep going in this speed.

    • I am currently sitting at all trophies complete aside from the level 100.
      I have completed about 90% of the challenges (aside from the 100k tricks ones and a couple of the multiplayer ones) and currently sitting at level 77.

      The most efficient XP grind currently (after lots of testing) is loading a sp session. Perform a single lip trick for 10 seconds a single grind for 10 seconds and a single manual for 10 seconds then a 500k+ combo and ending the session after 1 minute has passed

      This will score the 25xp score cap for each trick type for a total of 75xp
      And 40 xp each for the high score and combo for a total of 155xp.

      The high score and combo does have a cap of 75xp each but require the run to be 2min

      So more efficient to run to 1minute sessions for 310xp than one fully capped 2min run for 225xp

      This is a monumental grind for XP as gaining 1 level in the 90-100 region at best estimates will take approximately 20k

    • Fastet way to farm XP is only needed a 250k combo and you can use all mods. Here is my method

      Activate all mods
      Load into warehouse
      Do a manual immediately for 10 sec
      do a lip on the the side for 10 seconds
      grind slowly for 10 seconds the whole outside
      do a 250k combo (do a 900 and a couple of reverts manuals flips etc)
      end as quickly as possible

      if you end after 70 seconds its 2,3 xp per second
      if you end after 60 seconds its 2,5 xp per second
      if you end after 50 seconds its 2,8 xp per second

  17. for the challenge “skate pals” it says “create an online multiplayer party”. Can this be done solo? I have no idea how to create a party… Thanks in advance!

  18. Hello just wanted to confirm on latest update the custom skater challenges are completely glitched and not unlocking. Those that apply are the be special, and all combo sick score ones. Putting this game on pause hoping there is a fix. I am 100% sure now as I have gotten a combo without mods on downtown Phoenix one of over 340k and no challenge indication.

  19. I have problems with the get theres. I like the game and i know its ment to be hard but its really hard for me tis trophy. I always to slow at the end. Maybe got some tips for me

  20. You only have to grind, manual and lip for 10 seconds (not 25 seconds as described in the reach level 100 trophy) and its faster to end the run immideatly. I recommend Hangar, its much easier and faster then streets.

  22. No they aren’t glitches. Some challenges require you to NOT grind or NOT manual. Be special CAN NOT be done with grind tricks

  23. Has anybody with a disc copy attempted to see what the XP gain was like in the prelaunch version? It definitely mentions it in the Update History and I’m curious to what extent it was reduced.

  24. Ha ha. For the Horsin’ Around trophy, I set it up at the Bullring stage, had POWERPYXPLATINUM as the word, and did my runs scoring as Tony, then I have Riley go get f***ed up by the bull running around the perimeter when it’s P2’s turn. Did it for some laughs. Better to laugh than get bored.
