Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Kimayat Shrine Walkthrough

Kimayat Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) is found in the Akkala region.

This is a combat shrine, based on utilizing destroyable objects to deal with enemies.

1. Head into the shrine, and you will have all your equipment removed. Make sure to pick up the items on the left after entering, then make your way toward the central room. Here there are Constructs on a platform in the center, along with a number patrolling around the perimeter. Some of the columns holding up the platforms can be destroyed, but you need material from the Constructs to do this.

First to deal with the ones patrolling the perimeter, head to the right where you can find a freezing device in the corner. Activate it, then use it to freeze the Constructs as they attack you. When they’re frozen you can attack them for more damage, and they’ll continually refreeze if they’re in the line of the device, just make sure not to freeze yourself.

2. When they’re dealt with, head to the left side of the room where there is a platform you can Ascend to. On top there are two Spiked Iron Balls. Fuse one (or both) of them to a weapon.

3. Now with the fused weapons you can destroy the pillars in the room. Go back and grab the freezing device and use it to create an ice platform in the water in the center of the area. Place the platform near the center destructible pillar so you can climb on, then destroy it to drop the remaining Constructs into the water, opening the exit.

Interact with the green altar at the end of the shrine for 1 Light of Blessing. It also restores your health and unlocks the shrine as a permanent fast travel point.
