Meat for Meat is a Side Quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Meat for Meat side mission.
Location: Bedrock Bistro
Quest Giver: Mezer and Cooke
Requirement: Have the Flameguard armor or ability to make Flameguard Elixirs.
Reward: Large Zonai Charge
Quest Info: The restaurant’s chef, Cooke, is angry with Mezer for not finishing his meal. He won’t let Mezer leave until he brings more of the marbled rock roast ingredient that was wasted. Cooke says that marbled rock roast can be found in the caves past the cart tracks.
Objectives:
- Speak to Mezer
- Follow the Tracks
- Equip the Armor or drink the Elixir
- Enter the West Restaurant Cave
- Set up your path back
- Grab the meat and return to Mezer
Starting Location: Meat for Meat
Speak to Mezer
Head to the Bistro located above and speak to the man talking to the Goron behind the counter to start this quest.
Follow the Tracks
Once the conversation has ended between Mezer and Cooke has ended look to the Northwest and you will see some railcart tracks. Follow them to the west until you get to the spring:
Equip the Armor or drink an Elixir
If you don’t have the Flamebreaker Armor and haven’t spoken to the man in the springs speak to him and he will explain the recipe for the Flameguard Elixir which is a Fireproof Lizard and 4 monster parts. Make the Elixir in the pot at the entrance to the cave at the end of the tracks under the sign or simply put on the gear.
Enter the West Restaurant Cave
Enter the cave to the North at the end of the tracks, this is the West Restaurant Cave:
Set up your path back
Enter the cave and make your way to the back where there is a pool of lava. Jump over the pool of lava and and look to the East and you will see a ledge and some stairs:
Climb up the ledge and at the top of those stairs is a set of hydrants. Grab one and bring it back to the pool of lava. Activate the hydrant and use it to cool the lava to create a path over the lava:
Grab the meat and return to Mezer
Turn around and you will find the meat on the floor:
Grab it with Ultrahand and place it on the other side of the lava:
Hop across and grab the meat off the ground and out of the cave. Once outside the cave follow the tracks on the left back to the Bistro where you will enter and cutscene and complete this quest.
