Zelda Tears of the Kingdom – Wao-os Shrine Walkthrough

May 19, 2023 by imbroken963 Leave a Comment

Wao-os Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) is found in Hebra region.

Wao-os Shrine Location

Head into the West Lake Totori Cave shown on the map below (the map marker shows the entrance). Follow the only path forward until you come upon the shrine.

Wao-os Shrine Solution

This shrine is about using boxes as counterweights and catapulting balls into targets.

  1. From the start grab the box and place it in the corner of the room by the ladder:
  2. Raise the box straight up and hold it there for a few moments and bring it back down. Get on top and use Recall on the box and it will lift you into the air. At the top use Ascend to go through a platform floor containing the chest:
  3. Take the half bowl and attach it to the board hanging off the edge, making a catapult:
  4. Place the ball in the bowl and grab the box and lift it up high over the other side of the catapult:
  5. Drop the box and send the ball flying into the target. Once the target is hit you will have access to another platform from behind a gate. Remove the bowl from the platform and add the wooden plank to the existing board and add the bowl to the end of the plank:
  6. Grab the block again after loading in the boulder into the bowl again and do the same thing as last time only aiming for the higher target.
  7. Once you have hit both targets the door to the end will open but now you have to launch yourself to the exit. Climb in the bowl and drop the box on the platform again to send yourself flying:
  8. Once launched glide your way into the door and activate the gate to complete the shrine.

Interact with the green gate at the end of the shrine for 1 Light of Blessing. It will also restore your health and unlocks the shrine as a permanent fast travel point.
