Over the course of the story you can find several inventory upgrades. They look like big camping bags. Each one of them increases your available item slots by 4!
Inventory Upgrade Locations:
#1 – Area: Old House
It’s by the Cassette Recorder (where you manaully save the game). There’s only one Cassette Recorder here and it’s marked on the map.
#2 – Area: Main Hall / Master Bedroom
After obtaining the Serpent Key you can go up the stairs in the main hall and open a door to the master bedroom. In here is an inventory upgrade.
#3 – Area: Old Ship
When you first arrive on the old ship there will be a door that requires a fuse to be opened. You have to get the fuse as part of the story to progress further. On the opposite site of the fuse door is a locked door. Behind it is the upgrade. Now to get in there you must keep playing the story for quite some time. Eventually you’ll get hold off a usable item called Corrosive (which is unmissable and must be obtained as part of the story). You will later have to get back the fuse from earlier to repair an elevator. While you do that head over to the locked door and open it with the Corrosive to find the upgrade. You can find additional Corrosive in safe on floor 2.
