Nioh All Types of Yokai (Enemy Locations)

February 11, 2017 by PowerPyx 14 Comments

To earn the trophy “Yokai Quelling Master” you must defeat every type of Yokai in Nioh. This guide shows All Types of Yokai Enemies and their locations.

This is a supplement to the full Nioh Trophy Guide & Roadmap.

To see which types of Yokai you have defeated press Touchpad > Titles > Gameplay Record > Small Yokai Defeated.
To see pictures of all the enemies press Touchpad > Amrita Memories > Yokai Illustrations.
The “Large Yokai Defeated” are all automatic story bosses and unmissable. If you play all missions and always clear out all enemies you will automatically kill each enemy type once. None of them are hidden in any way and most of them can be encountered in numerous missions. If you don’t rush you and take your time at killing enemies this will unlock naturally.

Small Yokai:

Skeleton Warrior: in catacombs of The Spirit Stone Slumbers
Dweller: Pretty much everywhere, e.g. early parts of The Spirit Stone Slumbers
Oni-bi: They often spawn near larger enemies and are summoned by mages.
Karakasa Umbrella: sub mission “The Ogress”
Biwa Boku-boku: They sometimes sit around and spawn Oni-bis. E.g. in side room upstairs of “The Trail of the Master” sub mission.
Lesser Umi-bozu: Main mission “The Ocean Roars Again”
Mudman: Main mission “The Defiled Castle”.
Sentry: Main mission “The Spirit Stone Slumbers” in the catacombs.
Spider: Main Mission “Spider Nest Castle”.
Main mission “Deep in the Shadows” and sub mission “Finders, Keepers”.
Mujina: Sometimes in boxes when you open them. E.g. catacombs of main mission”The Spirit Stone Slumbers”, or sub mission “Three Angry Gods”. Also main mission “Spider Nest Castle” behind the house with second spider nest.
Yoki: Practically everywhere, e.g. main mission “Isle of Demons”
Amrita Fiend: Shows up frequently in late game, very common. E.g. main mission “The Iga Escape”.
One-Eyed Imp: Main mission “Memories of Death-Lilies”
One-eyed Oni: Main mission “Deep in the Shadows”.
Onyudo: sub mission “Three Angry Gods”
Nurikabe: Wall that has eyes in main mission “Deep in the Shadows”
Wheelmonk: Main mission “Spider Nest Castle”.
Flying Bolt: sub mission “The Ogress”. Also in sub mission “The Trail of the Master”.
Raven Tengu: Main mission “Memories of Death-Lilies”.

Large Yokai (Main Story Bosses, unmissable):

That’s all of the enemies in Nioh!

Special thanks to NeoElazul for helping to complete this list 🙂

Did you check your game stats? It shows which type of Yokai you killed. Press Touchpad > Titles > Gameplay Record > Small Yokai Defeated. Remember you must also defeat all the bosses, they count too (but are unmissable through story progress).
If you have really done all and didn’t get the trophy then go through each one of them again solo (best to reinstall the game before doing so). If that doesn’t work I’m afraid it glitched out on you and requires a new playthrough from scratch on new save game. I haven’t heard of any glitch reports of this trophy so far. Hopefully it will unlock when you go through them again.

Yup, that is what you get for not playing solo ;)

Yah, you need killing blow. Just had to redo the giant skeleton in order to get the trophy and ended up doing it solo in NG+.

I’ve heard from some other players that it didn’t pop because they were playing co-op and someone else killed a boss or some enemy.
So if you did a boss in co-op you must redo it solo to get credit for the trophy.

I Don’t why “Yoki” doesn’t appear in the deafeted yokai list, He appears in most of the missions and probably the most defeated yokai out of all of them. So I went back to the previous missions “Solo” to kill yoki but nothing has changed. anyone know what should I do?.

Nevermind, I’ve just figured out yoki is not in the list, it was Nurikabe. I’ve just recognized that I’ve never defeated Nurkabe

Does the status still show defeat enemies even if you didnt land the last blow? If so that will be hard to follow what you have killed.

As of dec 5th 2019 theres more yokai added to the list. Guessing from dlc kinda crap when its a base game trophy. Missing 3 bosses 1 small under fox spirit and harinbo not in the original image.

If you play co-op I think you should be able to get the trophy if you do the kill blow and not the visitor. The visitor should be able to do all the damage and then you throw the last hit.
