Alone in the Dark (2024) All Collectible Locations

March 19, 2024 by ObsiEez 36 Comments

Alone in the Dark (2024) contains 159 Collectible Locations (45 Lagniappes, 56 Clues, 30 Locks, 28 Dialogues). Everything is missable because there is no Chapter Select or Free-Roam after the story. There are 2 characters: Emily and Edward. Each character has some unique collectibles, but you’ll need to recollect everything, including the collectibles that are shared across characters. Certain Lagniappe sets are also needed for getting the different game endings.

Finding all collectibles unlocks the following trophies & achievements:

  • :bronze: You Can’t Keep Me Out! – Open all of the safes and locks in the game.
  • :silver: Librarian – Read all the clues (with both characters).
  • :silver: Chatterbox – Talk with everyone until their dialogue is exhausted (with both characters).
  • :gold: Look At All the Free Stuff I Got! – Find all the lagniappes (with both characters).

If you get stuck on any story-related puzzles also check out Alone in the Dark (2024) All Puzzle Solutions.

I’ve also gotten it as Edward & sometimes never got it as Emily. I’m honestly just super confused about that clue overall & what seems to trigger it appearing/not appearing

Collected all clues in this list on both characters and did not get that achievement? glitched? or is the list missing one?

Did you also get The Dark Man Enters in Chapter 3? It’s a story related one that you sometimes won’t receive for whatever reason. If you did get that, try loading a save as Emily & Edward, then read both of the collectibles they start with (So Edward Carnby, P.I. & Lasting Debt on Edward, then A Long Engagement & Jeremy’s Warning on Emily). The trophy should no longer be glitched as I personally got the trophy as well as some others collecting only what appears in the guide.

Same here gonna wait for a patch since the locks and are trophy and the flask one is glitched as well

You need to read all of the clues. Two are in each characters inventory by default, if you have a save game at Chapter 5 for both characters you should be able to just load it up and read them from there. That’s what I did and it unlocked.

I’m unsure if you need to do both characters, one character, or every unique lock since it’s currently bugged & I haven’t even managed to get it yet after 12 different playthroughs of opening everything.

This is a similar issue with some other collectibles. I don’t think this happening has any bearing on earning the trophy since I had this happen with the Jack in the Box in Graces room as well as the Pieces of the Plate clue in the Boiler Room, but still got the related trophies

    • Pete says

      April 19, 2024 at 8:55 am

This happened for me when it came to the note piece of plate. I tried going in boiler room yesterday night play and picking it up and it said inventory full. I was stressing and so pissed than I went to my collectibles and saw I already had it. I guess I picked up that note elsewhere or something. If these glitches and crap didn’t exist this would actually be an overall solid game. But completionist like us is making it a nightmare. I’m on my first playthrough as Edward and I already know there’s no way in hell I’m getting all the trophies by the time stellar blade comes out next Friday. Wish Powerpyx did videos for this game. Ones I found online are choppy out of order and just a convulsed confusing mess at times.

Great to hear! Little confused why you got it when reading the Talisman Schematics, but the game is extremely buggy, so I’d wager something just ended up going wrong or something.

I couldn’t get to the Empty Room in Chapter 4 up until I did the X-Ray puzzle and even got to the Attic first. Now the guide is completely out of order for me because I haven’t even been to the Pearl River yet and I’m getting collectibles from later in the guide. Did I mess something up?

    Hi!

    I have a question.

I picked up the clue “The Dark Man Enters” in my first game with Emily but it doesn’t appear in my second part with Edward.

    I have no idea why.

Think I couldn’t get the trophy asking to “read all clues”?

Judging from what others have reported, Yes, you should still get the trophy. I recorded all the clues from my personal playthroughs so it could very well be possible on pre-launch updates that the game glitched out & gave me The Dark Man Enters as Edward, or it’s just particular clue.

  13. Mytre says

    The answer is “yes”.
I just got the trophy without picking up that clue in my second part.

Some players have reported only need the unique collectibles, but since there isn’t all that many anyway it’s safer just to pick everything up again.

I missed the one in the bar… it doesn’t seem to reappear so be careful to get it when that room appears.

Hey, ObsiEez. Just wanted to sincerely thank you for this incredible guide. The level of detail, clear directions, and especially the pictures made the whole process smooth and genuinely enjoyable.

It made a real difference for me, not just in earning the trophies, but in appreciating the game more fully. I know guides like this take patience, attention to detail, and a lot of unseen hours. So, thank you, I truly mean it!
