In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, during Main Quest: Jailbreak, you get the objective “Find and liberate Ali”. This requires you to break into Damascus Gate Prison and locate Ali. Here is how you find him.
Step 1: Reach the inner courtyard of the prisoner, where the prisoners are gathered in the small outside area. It’s in the center of the prisoner. There are many ways to do this. The fastest way is to run past the guards and climb the walls, then drop down into the courtyard. You could also hire the NPCs marked by orange icons to cause distractions.
Step 2: In the prisoner courtyard, look for a small yellow roof (looks like a yellow cloth over two wooden sticks). Go through the door under the yellow roof.
Step 3: Turn left, leading to a path with hanging cloths. Run past the guards or kill them. Follow this path all the way to the end.
Step 4: At the end of the path with cloths is a prisoner guard beating a prisoner. If you kill the guard, you can talk to the prisoner (optional). Next to the prisoner you can climb up the shelf to get upstairs. This is the part where most players will struggle because it’s easy to overlook the climbing path here. The climbing path gets marked by an orange icon once you’ve been near it, so it’s easier to locate.
Step 5: After climbing up go straight and through the next door.
Step 6: Turn left and climb over the wooden beams into the next room where one guard is. You should already see an orange “secret entrance” door icon.
Step 7: Open the “secret entrance” door (orange marked icon).
Step 8: Now just follow the linear path to the end until you find the guard holding Ali. Assassinate the guard then a cutscene will play.
Afterward all that’s left is opening the doors to go back upstairs. It’s a linear path and you can only go one way. After you go back to the room where you opened the “secret entrance” door, turn left to open another door, then upstairs, then open the locked door on the right. Then the next door triggers a cutscene.
Run out of the prison to become anonymous which finishes the quest. You can simply run into the river and dive to escape unseen.
