Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in 9th century Baghdad and you play as the Assassin “Basim”. The gameplay is similar to Assassin’s Creed 1, going back to basic gameplay mechanics and dropping the RPG elements from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Mirage is also much smaller in size, taking around 20-25 hours to bring to 100% completion, with a map size comparable to Assassin’s Creed 1. It is much smaller than Valhalla, Odyssey and Origins. There is free-roam after the story and you can go back everywhere to still finish all collectibles and 100% completion. Some collectibles are gated behind story progress so it’s best to focus on the story first and clean up everything else after.
