Chapter 12: The Man Seen by No One contains 27 Balan Statue Locations in Balan Wonderworld. The game has 300 Balan Statues in total. When you start the game it will show only 228 Statues in the Menu but another 72 unlock after beating the story, that’s how it’s 300 total. Finding all of them unlocks the Balan’s Happy Chappy trophy or achievement.
Some important information about the statues:
- You can’t collect all the statues immediately, some of them require costumes found in later levels.
- You can change your costumes at each checkpoint by holding any of the 4 face buttons and entering the changing room, you will however need to have some spare costumes collected in the level the costume appeared in, if a costume gets replaced in your inventory of 3 in a level, it will end up in your wardrobe.
- There are 12 Chapters and each is divided into 4 Acts. The 4th Act (actually called “Secret Act 3” in-game) only unlocks after finishing the story!
- Most Statues are hidden in the world. The rest is for completing Balan’s Bout with a score of excellent (4 perfect hits in the minigame). You start this minigame by collecting a golden hat in each Act.
- Each boss fight has 3 statues which you unlock by hitting them with 3 different methods, these are listed below as well.
- During the story collect what you find on your own, then unlock Balan’s Costume after the story, it allows you to fly around to reach all Collectibles easily.
Chapter 12: The Man Seen by No One
Act 1:
Statue 1 – Above a block section near the very start of the level. Finish Balan’s Bout with 4 x Excellent Score to unlock it.
Statue 2 – Behind an iron block, amidst some moving yellow platforms.
Statue 3 – During the first platform-riding section you’ll come across some destructible blocks. don’t destroy them, Instead, jump on them to reach the statue.
Statue 4 – In the area with yellow platform moving up and down and left and right. Finish Balan’s Bout with 4 x Excellent Score to unlock it.
Statue 5 – From the previous statue’s location, look for a hole in the wall. Enter it to find some lasers. You need to get across them unscathed in order to reach the statue.
Statue 6 – During a second platform-riding section, basically unmissable.
Statue 7 – During the platform-riding section with the lasers, use the yellow platform to the right to get to it.
Statue 8 – Amidst some lasers near an enemy-ridden area.
Statue 9 – Near the section with the spinning yellow platforms. Finish Balan’s Bout with 4 x Excellent Score to unlock it.
Act 2:
Statue 1 – In the room with the first stomping chess pieces.
Statue 2 – Next to a checkpoint pad is a hole in the wall protected by some lasers. Get past them and then equip a costume that can destroy iron blocks. Destroy the one in the path of the moving platform to revel the statue.
Statue 3 – Atop the tilting platform with the archways.
Statue 4 – After the tilting platform and before the next area, look to your right. Finish Balan’s Bout with 4 x Excellent Score to unlock it.
Statue 5 – Immediately after the previous hat’s location, in the next room. Finish Balan’s Bout with 4 x Excellent Score to unlock it.
Statue 6 – In the room with the three switches, it’s on an overhead platform. Finish Balan’s Bout with 4 x Excellent Score to unlock it.
Statue 7 – Inside a purple trash can, after the section where you need to ride some platforms that go down.
Statue 8 – Under the very last stomping chess piece. You’ll probably have to sacrifice a costume to reach it.
Statue 9 – Near the exit, to get this you need either Balan or Triple Jumper.
Act 3 – Boss:
- Use the vacuum to suction a bomb in. Release it when the boss tries vacuuming you.
- Stand behind the plug. As soon as he throws a bomb at it, move aside.+
- Hit the button on one of its arms. For this you need an electricity costume, like the jellyfish from Chapter 2.
Secret Act 12:
Statue 1 – After riding the first platform, look up to the way you came from. You’ll see this statue on the top of a cube.
Statue 2 – Near the previous statue’s location is a moving platform near some lasers. There is the statue.
Statue 3 – At the very top of a set of platforms.
Statue 4 – On one of the sides of the rotating platform.
Statue 5 – As you progress through the final rotating set of platforms, you’ll find this mid-air.
Statue 6 – Immediately after the previous statue.
