Introduction

Welcome to the Balan Wonderworld Trophy Guide! Balan Wonderworld is a 3D-Platformer and the gameplay is based on using different costumes with different abilities, many of them won’t even allow you to jump which is unconventional for a platforming game. Instead, each costume has one function which could be a jump, a special attack or a special maneuver. Most of the trophy hunt consists of finding the 300 Balan Statues. Initially, the game only shows 228 statues but it adds another 72 after the story via bonus levels.

None of the trophies are hard, but some can be quite random and require a good amount of luck.

Step 1: Finish the Story

Simply finish each chapter and collect any statue you can obtain on the first visit. Some statues are impossible to reach on the first visit because you won’t have the right costume yet. You actually need to find quite a lot of statues to advance the story (but less than half of them). It’s better to focus on collecting the rest once you have the “Balan Costume” which allows you to fly everywhere and makes the collectibles super easy to reach. We’ll get this in Step 2.

Step 2: Get the Balan Costume

Unlocking the Balan Costume takes a bit of luck and patience. See How to Get Balan Costume for all steps.

Step 3: With the Balan Costume – Collect all the Statues and Costumes

Balan Costumes allows you to fly everywhere and this makes finding Collectibles super quick and easy. In addition to Statues you will also need all Costumes, since you need them for a trophy and some statues are locked behind certain abilities of the costumes. If a special costume is required it’s mentioned in the Balan Wonderworld – All Statue Locations Guide. Each boss also has 3 statues.

Step 4: Hard Mode enemies and Cleanup

Everything you have left should be miscellaneous trophies like the Lanced Enemies and probably the Tower. Mop up these trophies after everything else is done.

Maestro of Mystery

Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head
Collect your first raindrop
There are two ways of obtaining raindrops: by finishing a level for a second time after beating the Chapter Boss or by touching the Father Tim Statues. Father Tim Statues can be found in multiple levels of the game and you will encounter these a bunch of times. When one of them seems out of reach, come back after you have the Balan Costume.
Tea Tim(e)
Feed a drop to a Tim for the first time
In the Isle of Times hub area approach one of the flower fields and press any action button to throw your drops onto it, which will feed the Tims.
Drowning in Drops
Collect over one thousand drops in a single act
Best done in Chapter 11-2. Collect all the Drops in the chapter and once you have done that play the Balan Bouts which will give you chance to even multiply all the Drops you got if you manage to get all EXCELLENT on the bout. The chapter has 3 Bouts so you can multiply them 3 times if you are consistent with the EXCELLENT ratings, but you can reach 1000 Drops even if you mess up 2 of them.
Balan’s a Happy Chappy

Costume Collector

Full Wardrobe
Collect every costume
You can unlock 80 different Costumes in the game. They aren’t particularly hard to find since the game has an in-game list of which chapters the costumes are in. The final costume of each chapter is always in the Secret Act 3 unlocked after the story. Should you have problems finding a costume, make sure to unlock Balan Costume first, which will make traversing levels very easy and that will also make finding the costumes very easy as you can basically fly everywhere.
Timdale
Populate the Isle of Tims with thirty Tims
Collect eggs throughout levels, free your Tims from the Plants eating them and feed them to multiply and you will have 30 Tims eventually.
Timtopia
Populate the Isle of Tims with one hundred Tims
Collect eggs throughout levels, free your Tims from the Plants eating them and feed them to multiply and you will have 100 Tims eventually.
Tim of Legend
Bring the Ultima Tim into the world
See How to Unlock Balan Costume, since this a step to get that costume.
Clockwork Happiness
Unlock the Tower o’ Tims
In the Hub Area you will have your Tims sping the wheel to unlock the tower. Will unlock automatically.
Tick-tock
Complete the Tower o’ Tims
In order to completely finish the tower, your Tims will have to reach the count of 24,000 on the counter in the main hub area. The more Tims you have, the more you feed them or throw them manually into the tower, the faster it will be done. Just keep feeding them between chapters, keep collectings eggs and you will get it eventually.
Solid Sportsmanship
Play every mini game in every chapter
There is a total of 12 mini games you have to play, 1 per chapter. It will either be Baseball, Bowling, Football (Soccer) or Golf. They are easy to find, but should you miss some just use the Balan Costume to fly around and find them quickly.
Hello, Father
Discover the Father Tim statue
There are a lot of Father Tim Statues throughout the game. Just approach one when you see it in a level.
Negated
Defeat a Negati for the first time
Defeat your first enemy, self-explanatory.
Non-stop Negativity
Defeat one thousand Negati
Defeat 1000 enemies, self-explanatory.
Gate Guard
Defeat a Negate-guarding Negati for the first time
Defeat a mini boss at the end of a chapter.
Combo Breaker
Defeat five Negati in a row
This will unlock naturally during the story, don’t worry about it. There are a lot of bigger enemy waves in the game.
Lanced Endlessli
Defeat a Lanced Endlessli
In order to fight a Lanced enemy there are a few steps you have to follow.

  • Keep defeating enemies without getting hit in a level (do loops defeating the enemies, wait for them to respawn etc).
  • After defeating a high number of enemies, red enemies will start to spawn – you have now entered “hard mode”.
  • With hard mode enabled you will now have a chance to fight either a red mini-boss at the end of stage or a Lanced version, which will have additional wing-like parts, those are the bosses needed for the Lanced Enemies trophies.
  • Reach a checkpoint before a mini-boss and should you not get the one you need, close the game and try again.

Here at the Chapters you need:

  • Lanced Endlessli can spawn in Chapter 1-2 or 6-2
  • Lanced Multipli can spawn in Chapter 2-2 or 4-1
  • Lanced Plenti can spawn in Chapter 5-1 or 8-1
  • Lanced Nessi can spawn in Chapter 9-2
  • Ghostli can spawn everywhere with any mob
Lanced Multipli
Defeat a Lanced Multipli
See :silver: Lanced Endlessli above.
Lanced Plenti
Defeat a Lanced Plenti
See :silver: Lanced Endlessli above.
Lanced Nessi
Defeat a Lanced Nessi
See :silver: Lanced Endlessli above.
Ghostli
Defeat a Ghostli
See :silver: Lanced Endlessli above.
Somebody Stop Me
Catch a fleeing cast member
Extremely random. You will always see costumed figures running throughout the level. Sometimes you can catch them and earn the costume that way, but it’s just very random. In my case I could catch a Key Mouse in Chapter 6 where it doesn’t belong normally. There’s no definitive way to get this, just absolute pure luck, but you should get it eventually while working on the other trophies.
Backstage Pass
Find your way backstage for the first time
There are some areas in the game which look like the backstage of a theater. One of them can be found in Chapter 6-1 at the back of a wall, another can be found in Chapter 12-1 on a higher cliff.
Beginner Busker
Perform on a stage for the first time
See :silver: Veteran Busker.
Veteran Busker
Perform on every stage
You will find a few costumes which have only the purpose of being a band member for this trophy, like a Guitarist, a Drummer, a Mozart. Equip one of them and perform on every stage in the game.

The stages can be found in Chapters:

  • 1-1
  • 2-1
  • 4-2
  • 8-1
  • 9-1
  • 1-1
Balan Wannabe
Play a round of Balan’s Bout for the first time
See :silver: Heir Apparent.
Heir Apparent
Complete every round of Balan’s Bout ranked “Excellent”
Balan Bouts are QTE (Quick-Time-Event) Minigames. Levels contain golden hats that trigger these. You must finish all of them with an excellent score to get their Balan Statue.

You will automatically get these while going for all Statues, so don’t worry about it. See the linked Statues guide below.

very good guide , but is it possible to go into a little deeper in how to breed the tims cause its not possible for me to separate them also balan bouts and that you have to go back to level to get costumes if you lose them in act 3 is super annoyng :P

The game itself is pretty annoying to be honest. You can grab the one Tim you want to feed and run from the crowd to another flower field I guess.
