Red Tide is a Side Quest in Dead Island 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Red Tide side mission.
Starting Location: The Pier

Requirement: Having Finished Side Quest: Like And Follow!
Reward: 3000XP
Mission Info: Cooper’s deadly desertion plan fell apart at the end. You avenged his many victims by putting his mutated form down for good, but his stolen boat is beyond repair. There is some good news: You searched the boat’s wreckage and were able to salvage some useful supplies!
Objectives:
- Cooper requisitioned a boat. Pick up his trail at the CDC HQ
- Investigate the CDC tent for clues to the location of Cooper’s boat
- There really is a boat! Pick up Cooper’s trail inside the CDC main dome
- This place is crawling with Butchers!
- Kill the Butchers!
- The Butcher dropped something! Check it out
- Did they catch Cooper in time? Search the beach for his boat
- Pillage Cooper’s shipwrecked boat
- Stem the tide and mop ’em up!
- Kill Cooper! And everything else…
Starting Location: Red Tide
Cooper requisitioned a boat. Pick up his trail at the CDC HQ
Follow the quest marker into the CDC HQ until you reach the tent.
Investigate the CDC tent for clues to the location of Cooper’s boat
Just interact with the glowing clues inside to proceed.
There really is a boat! Pick up Cooper’s trail inside the CDC main dome
After you got all clues, follow the quest marker into the main dome.
This place is crawling with Butchers!
Just wait for the Butchers to attack you.
Kill the Butchers!
Kill both butchers.
The Butcher dropped something! Check it out
The butchers will drop a journal for you to pick up.
Did they catch Cooper in time? Search the beach for his boat
Now follow the quest marker to the beach, the boat is under the pier.
Pillage Cooper’s shipwrecked boat
After you reached the boat, loot the red chests around it.
Stem the tide and mop ’em up!
Some zombies will appear which you have to kill.
Kill Cooper! And everything else…
A zombified Cooper will appear after you killed some zombies, just kill him.
This finishes Red Tide Side Quest in Dead Island 2.
