It’s Not Your Fault is a Side Quest in Dead Island 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of It’s Not Your Fault side mission.

Mission Info: Seismologist Luciana thinks there’s more to the tremors ripping through LA than just standard California tectonic sass. She asks you to brave the sewers for readings from four seismometers she and her colleagues placed down there.
Objectives:
- Search for signs of the seismologists outside the sewer.
- Look for any information the seismologist left behind
- Wade into the sewers to track down the seismometers
- Trudge deeper into the sewers for the seismometers
- Hunt down the first seismometer
- Recover the data from the second seismometer
- Find the second seismometer and recover it’s data
- Get the data from the third seismometer
- One seismometer left. Go get it!
- Enter the Main Septic Tank
- Find the seismometer in the slurry
- Put the zombie seismologist out of it’s misery
- Grab the final key dropped by the seismologist
- Crack open the final seismometer
- Fight for you life!
- Get back to Bel-Air with Luciana’s seismometer data
- Return to Emma’s and give Luciana her seismometer data
Starting Location: It’s Not Your Fault
After finishing the main story, head to Emma’s mansion in Bel-Air. Follow the Side Quest marker when you arrive and on the top floor, look for Luciana who when you speak to her will start the side quest.
Search for signs of the seismologists outside the sewer
Head out of the main door and follow the objective marker to the sewers.
Climb the wall of the garden from the mansion, go straight across the street and up the stairs into another garden.
Head straight across the garden and through to the tennis court. Keep left, down the stairs and down the street to the left.
Turn right and then right again, head down some small steps, keep left and then pass a police car through some open gates.
The road bends round to the left here, follow it down to the bottom to the sewer entrance.
Look for any information the seismologists left behind
Collect the Seismometer Placement note off the floor.
Wade into the sewers to track down the sesimometers
You now need to head into the sewers and follow the path to the right.
Enter the door and follow the objective through a handful of doors until you get to a door that asks you to Fast Travel to Brentwood Sewer.
Trudge deeper into the sewers for the seismometers
Follow the path down to a gate and open it and go through.
Hunt down the first seismometer
Move forward down the tunnel and turn immediately left. A Seismometer Key Alpha note will be on a crate. Pick it up and unlock the red box next to it.
Recover the data from the second seismometer
Head further into the tunnel to the next objective marker. Head into the Venice Storm Tank.
Find the second seismometer and recover its data
Visibility is poor in here, so tread carefully and stick to the left wall to avoid walking in the caustic acid. At the end of the path there will be some dead zombies, turn right and cross the boards to the other side of the acid. Turn right again and walk down towards the Seismometer Key Beta and collect it. Head back the way you came, cross the boards and continue on the left side of the tunnel until you come to a gate where the seismometer case is behind it. Open it when prompted.
Get the data from the third seismometer
Follow the objective marker avoiding the caustic acid and you will arrive in a room where you need to head up the stairs to the right. Go upstairs and into a control room where the seismometer gamma is.
Head past this and you need to drop to the sludge below and into the room underneath the control room.
Go through the door, interact with the gas valve to turn the gas off, then you can pass through. Next, turn right into a room where you have to search the meat slurry to find the seismometer key gamma. There are 4 piles to search. It is in the far right corner of the room next to a gate.
With the key in your possession, head back upstairs using the broken walkway directly across from the entrance you entered and make your way up and then work your way back to the control room and open the red seismometer gamma box.
One seismometer left. Go get it!
Leave the control room, head outside and drop down and turn right into a large tunnel that will bring you into a large room.
Enter the Main Septic Tank!
Head towards the large entrance and go inside.
Find the seismometer somewhere in the slurry
Work your way around the Septic Tank heading towards the back of the area where eventually you will find a seismometer zombie that you need to kill. There are various zombies in this area ranging from Crushers, Slobbers, Bursters and a Butcher that you will need to contend with on your way to finding the objective.
Put the seismologist zombie out of it’s misery
Kill the zombie, he drops the key.
Grab the final key dropped by the seismologist
Grab the key off the floor.
Crack open the final seismometer
The final box is on top of some slurry just across from where you kill the zombie. Open the box.
Fight for you life!
Kill all zombies here. Quickly take down the Voltaic Screamer to reduce the amount of zombies you need to kill.
Get back to Bel-Air with Luciana’s seismometer data
Head to the nearest fast travel point in the area and head back to Bel-Air. Once you arrive back return to Emma.
Return to Emma’s and give Luciana her seismometer data
Speak with Luciana when you land back at Emma’s and wait for the dialogue to finish. Once completed, this completes the side quest.
This finishes the It’s Not Your Fault side quest in Dead Island 2.
