Dragon’s Dogma 2 A Veil of Gossamer Clouds Walkthrough

A Veil of Gossamer Clouds is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Veil of Gossamer Clouds side mission.

• Starting Location: Vernworth Castle
• Quest Giver: Sven
• Requirement: Complete Feast of Deception main quest (potentially also requires Masked Correspondence side quest)
• Reward: 4000 XP, 20,000 G, 1 x Ferrystone
• Quest Description: You are not the only one investigating the queen regent’s plots. Her son, Regentkin Sven, has been prying also, and uncovered an intriguing letter that hints at untold secrets.

Objectives:

1. Investigate the letter and report back to Sven

Starting Location: A Veil of Gossamer Clouds

To start the quest, you must have completed Feast of Deception (and potentially Masked Correspondence). You may be stopped by someone around Vernworth saying Sven wants to meet, but you can also go directly back to his room in the castle after resting for a day and speak with him to start the quest.

Investigate the letter and report back to Sven

Sven wants your help investigating a letter his mother was written and hands it to you to investigate. You will need to go to Bakbattahl, then to the Forbidden Magick Research Lab. You can sneak in most easily by going through the door that’s past the Dye Stores over a short bridge.

Inside make your way to the opposite side of the large dead dragon, and in one room, you will hear two people talking about a missive from Vermund, before walking out.

Go inside that room and on the table you can pick up the Letter to Lord Phaesus.

Now with the letter in hand, you can make your way back to Vernworth Castle and give the letter to Sven in his chambers to complete the quest.

This finishes the A Veil of Gossamer Clouds side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
