Tensions on the Highroad is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Tensions on the Highroad side mission.
- Starting Location: Vernworth
- Quest Giver: Simon
- Requirement: Complete Welcome to Battahl side quest
- Reward: 4000 XP, 12,000 G
- Quest Description: You have been asked to escort Ser Augustin, backbone of the opposition against the queen regent, back to Vermund. Make for the highroad, and tell no one – not even Captain Brant.
Objectives:
- Escort the oxcart
- Pursue Raghnall
- Seek an exit
Starting Location: Tensions on the Highroad
To start this quest, return to Vernworth after reaching Bakbattahl. If you go near the North Vernworth Oxcart Station a soldier named Simon should eventually approach you and start the quest.
Escort the oxcart
You are tasked with escorting Augustin’s oxcart from near the Checkpoint Rest Town into Vernworth. Head to the intersection just outside the town to meet up with the oxcart.
After a scene, the oxcart will be stopped, and you will be speaking with Raghnall who you encountered during Welcome to Battahl. Here you can choose to either side with the soldiers, or with Raghnall. It doesn’t matter what you do, the next objective is still the same.
Pursue Raghnall
Raghnall runs off with Augustin, and you can chase them south into Guerco Cavern.
Seek an exit
Shortly into the cave you will drop through the floor and are separated from your pawns. Follow the path ahead to encounter Raghnall again.
Help him defeat the monsters and follow the path out of the cave, then after defeating the group of Saurians he’ll explain what was going on. You can then continue following the path out of the cave, and once you exit you will complete the quest.
This finishes the Tensions on the Highroad side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
