Monster Hunter Wilds Giant Vigorwasp Location (A Gutsy Move Side Mission)

February 26, 2025 by PowerPyx Leave a Comment

Giant Vigorwasp is an endemic lifeform in Monster Hunter Wilds, required for the A Gutsy Move side mission. After accepting the A Gutsy Move side mission you must catch a Giant Vigorwasp using the Capture Net, then return to the quest giver.

A Gutsy Move Side Mission Start:

A Gutsy Move side quest starts by talking to your Palico at any Base Camp (confirmed to be available at Hunter Rank 40 post-story, but may be available sooner). Your Palico will give you other tasks first for catching a regular Vigorwasp and Flashflies, then gives the quest for finding a large Vigorwasp.

Giant Vigorwasp Location:

Giant Vigorwasp can be found in Wyveria – Area 2 – at Evening/Wyvern’s Tranquility (Plenty). On the map you can press D-Pad Right > Filter Icons > scroll down to “Giant Vigorwasp” just below regular “Vigorwasp” (only if Giant Vigorwasp is present on the map). Then it shows the locations on the map. You can mark it by clicking the Right Stick, then your Seikret will automatically lead you there. Use your capture net to catch it.

Alternatively, in Skarlet Forest – Area 8 – at Night/Plenty. This can also be tracked on the map with the filter option.

Remember that endemics/fishes don’t have a 100% guaranteed spawn rate. They have fixed places where they can spawn but won’t be there every single time. If the endemic isn’t there for you, fast travel to another map and come back, this will respawn all endemics. Repeat this until you find the endemic in the suggested location. You can also rest at the portable BBQ Grill or in your tent to skip to a different daytime and weather effect, this also respawns everything but costs 300 guild points.
